The larger 8000 series Cub Cadets (35 (8354), 40 (8404), & 45 (8454) hp) are built by Daedong. The 8000 series Cubs are EXACTLY like the Kioti DK35, 40, & 45. The only differences are the obvious - color and name on the side. They are nice machines. You can't go wrong with either.

How do they compare in cost?

I'm not sure about the price differences. I have seen a post where it was said that the 8000 series were more than the Kioti. I also thought I saw one that said the Kioti was more. I guess it all depends on location. Cub lists the MSRP for these machines on their website. I guess the only thing left would be to compare the Cub MSRP to the Kioti MSRP. I never did research the price of the 8000 series beyond that of the MSRP.
