Sounds like a good outcome. Too bad you had to go through all this aggravation though. I have had two E series tractors, worked them hard, and both have been very reliable. I cant think of any problems on them and have only had to change oil and filters so either I was lucky or its not a generic issue. The quality control is a bit worrisome though if your case was not properly machined and they did not catch that at the factory.
I've been thinking about a Deere 5055D or a Massey Ferguson 2615. Both are made in India. I've owned a MF 231 for over 8 years and been 100% satisfied. Never owned John Deere but I'm glad to know they stand behind their product after reading your thread. Good luck on the new tractor and glad things went in your favor, just as it should have in the 1st place.
Went to dealer this morning, picked out the new 5055E, installing loader this week, loading tires, delivery Friday. The new tractors have front cab lights, corner cab exhaust, digital dash and telescopic links on the 3 point hitch. Still a little confused on the dpf regen but I think I can figure it out after some use.
It sounds like you got a up grade on your new tractor. That's good.
Don't worry about the Re-gen the tractor will do it by it self. Just read the owner manual.
