Use a extension cord with #12 wire in it, and plug the tractor in an hour before you are going to start it.

I doubt it will have any problems starting in 20* weather though, without plugging it in.

Most block heaters are less then a 1000 watt so less then 9 amps most any extension cord will work.
Most of mine are #14 only the 50 and 100 footers are #12 wire.

Thanks for both of your help. I am just preparing for the cold. We get -30 in January and this is my first winter with the tractor. My truck block heater doesn’t turn on until below 30 degrees even if plugged in. I didn’t know how this one worked.

Most of our tractors when we plug them in only need a few hours usually about 3.
Several of them only have block heaters of 400 to 600 watts, the Puma 125 and the NH 6050 have a 600 watt block heater and a 600 watt transmission heater they are junctioned together on the tractor so only one cord is required those tractors we do tend to use the #12 cords on those.
My driveway tractor gets plugged in up at the house in the winter and my wife got me a "smart"switch that I use for it, I can program on off times or turn it on remotely from my phone it makes it handy.

Does anyone have an open station 4700 series? I’m looking into these tractors but I really don’t want a cab but trying to find pictures of the layout of the controls.

This is my one big complaint about the tractor. 3 point and rear remote levers are tucked down beside the seat. I know most companies put them there on the open station but its super annoying.

Any more updates on the 4707? Are they standing up over time?

Someday when finances allow, I'd like to get a 60-70hp machine and I've been wondering about either a 1760M or a 4707.

Im at 550ish hours I think..... Still super happy. Theres some issues that seem to be consistent. None if them are a big deal. I have a 2018 open station...going to be trading it in for a cab this month. I would definitely recommend it again.

Ive death with or owned Deere, Kubota, and Massey. They all have issues. Buy whatever dealer you have the most faith in.

The tractors I compared were the
New Holland Powerstar 75 - 6239lbs - $53,500 (2 remotes and 3rd function)
John Deere 5075M - 9000lbs - $78000 (no extras)
Kubota M4D-75 - 6008lbs - $55000 (with 3rd function, 3 remotes)
Massey 4707 - 8600lbs - $50,000 (with 3rd function, 3 remotes)

Massey and Deere were the largest tractor. Kubota was a frame size smaller than everyone else. Massey seems to have the best combination of a big cab, lots of features, and heavy built for the best price.

2 years on mine...no issues. Would definitely buy again. You get the most bang for the price.
