The stabilizers should just slide in and out

These ones don't, some stabilizers have multiple holes you can put the pin in, the purpose is to prevent sway, if you have it without the pin you might as well just disconnect it.

You can see when I put it up against the lower hitch arm (the cutter is currently attached with the sway bar disconnected) there is no way I would be able to reconnect that sway bar. The ball in the sway bar that connects to the tractor prevents it from getting the correct angle to attach back to the hitch arm.

cutter that says it fits a cat 2 system is where the problem is.

Exactly. It does not. I am contacting the manufacturer to see what recourse I have. I have been getting treated like absolute **** by companies recently and I'm sick of it. If nothing else Ill just return it.

That did clear things up. Thanks for the pictures.

I talked with some neighbors who farm and they said its not that uncommon to have to remove a sway bar to connect to something. I find it really silly that there is a set standard and companies are not making the implements to that standard. I completely understand if you're using a disc that cousin Eddie made in 1959 and it doesn't quite fit, but is it so much to ask that companies use the defined standard for width when making new equipment?

Being that it's a new tractor I'm trying to confirm that this won't affect my warranty at all. Thankfully the implement company has been receptive and understands my concerns and they are confident there is no warranty issue with operating with a sway bar disconnected.

EDIT: I should add this concern may be laughable for experienced owners, this is my first rodeo so I'm just trying to learn as much as possible and not screw myself.

I've run plenty of implements without sway bars and it won't hurt a thing as long as your arms aren't getting into the tires but I sure don't care for the flopping back and forth that goes on with them disconnected, especially with a bush hog.

While the 3 point connections on your 4707 are a different design than the 1735M in the link below I too would be concerned about an implement flopping around. I'd definitely be confirming with your Massey dealer about not connecting the sway bars before you proceed.

I have a 2022 4707 and I have the same issue. Unfortunately, I am also inexperienced in a tractor of this size. I've used a 1999 90hp cat 2 Deere before and had absolutely no issues hooking up the same implements. I called my Massey dealer and they said I could just by different stabilizer arms to make it come in more narrow. That seems stupid to have to buy new stabilizer arms, but these things don't come in very much.

I've tried to watch DLH's youtube videos because his 4710 is basically the same, just a couple years older. His stabilizer arms seem to have several holes for the pin to slide into. That seems like it would solve the problem. So I've looked around for new stabilizer arms, but I haven't found much promising and therefore haven't bought anything.

The only other option I see is remove one of the arms and just letting the other do the stabilizing job I guess. But I'm with you that it sounds like a bad solution.

Those stabilizer bars that Massey-Ferguson uses on the 4707 have a useful range of motion that places the arms in Cat 3 widths. Any of my Cat2 3 pt tractors the stabilizer bar is at midstroke of its range when the arms are placed at Cat2 spec 32” between. If Massey-Ferguson does offer stabilizer bars that have a more useful Cat 2 range (narrower) that would be high on my list of installing. I would definitely want 2 stabilizer bars when operating that Bauma.

I just got my 4707 two days ago, and I'm planning on attaching my 6 foot cutter to it later today. I'll see what happens and comment when I've figured it out.
