I am having issues hooking up a brush cutter I purchased, I can't seem to get the lower arms narrow enough to fit into the slots on the attachment. This is my first time hooking anything up so I figure I must be missing something. I extended the sway bar threads as far as they will go, is there another adjustment point I'm ignoring?

Thanks

I can’t tell for sure but from the pics it appears your arms are up against the sides of the drawbar support frame.

What size cutter do you have?

Yep, I think so too. What kind of cutter is it ? [Love a picture of that too...] Not a familiar looking hitch area on the cutter. I'd bet that the cutter does not meet the standard 3py hitch specification for distance between lift arm pins.

It's a Baumalight CP572 https://baumalight.com/cutters/en/cp572.php

I'll double check in the morning but I thought the limiting factor was the sway bar adjustment wasn't extending far enough. Actually after doing this exactly one time I can see why people don't like these turnbuckle style ones.

Either way it seems strange, did I mess up royally by ordering something that doesn't fit? My previous understanding was I should be able to order any cat 2 implement.

EDIT: here is a pic of when I was getting the shipping crap off of it. Ill be sure to get one properly if I ever get it attached

measure center to center on implement, iirc cat II is just over 32.5 inches.
if that matches then seems to me tractor end.
I have not dealt with a larger tire 70hp cat II model, just a few 32-50hp cat II models.
none of them had what looks to be an addon extension on the lift arms but from pics with the tires on there may be needed.
almost looks like w/o those extensions you could fit arms in....just your implement would be shoved up against tires.
really, with lift arms as tight as possible if over 32" I wonder if this tractor closer to a cat III hitch width wise. IIRC thats closer to 38"

There's a guy on YouTube that runs that same cutter on a 4707. I use cat 1 and cat 2 implements on my 4710 with no issues. I have the same draw bar bracket and everything just like yours. Not sure what could be causing the issues.

Looks like the pin is missing.
Will the sleeve slide out for more holes farther out?

keep I mind I have no idea what I am talking about BUT....is the lowest hole on attachment the correct setting for your tractor?
hard to tell from pics but it almost looks like if using top hole you would then have clearance to collapse enough.
just a thought, ignore if way off base.

I took the pin out so you can adjust the turnbuckle to extend the threads, unfortunately it isn't the style with multiple holes you can pick from.

I measured the inside of the cutter, the hookups have a maximum width of 29.75 inches. The most narrow I can get my lower links is like 30.5" (probably closer to 31").

I guess I'll let you guys judge.
