I'm new owner of a low hour 2605h. I'm also new owner of a Lane Shark LS4, which requires installation of WR Long continuous flow 3rd function. I'm not familiar with hydraulic installs, and this install calls for identification of the power beyond port. Is there someone here that can tell me exactly which port it is. I can't see any embossed letters on the valve.

Thank you.

h8: I had a Lane Shark installed on my MF 2660 (first one sold in the state of WVa a few years ago) and I had the dealer do the installation. I recommend doing that because it was a lot more difficult than I pictured. You will need a direct return line into the sump of your tractor hydraulic system, etc. and mine required a "T" in the hyd lines, etc. which was not obvious to me and it required considerable plumbing to make it work right. Mine uses an extra Remote that I had available on the tractor and I do not have the 'fancy' WR Long controls. The Lane Shark website can be used to locate their dealers if you do not already have a relationship with one. It may seem like a considerable expense but I am very glad I had the dealer do my installation.
Not sure about your 2605 but my 2660 has a power beyond line that feeds the loader valve and the loader valve manufacturer diagrams show which port gives power beyond access up at the loader valve rather than running lines from the rear. Again, I vote for having the Lane Shark dealer do the install.

If you insist on doing it yourself. At the very least, get someone who knows what they're doing to look at both the tractor and the "kit" (you think) you need. There may well be other options. A qualified opinion can't cost all that much, and will be far more valuable than a bunch "you need to do this" or "you need one of those" type suggestions you're likely to get here that will most likely just add to your confusion.

THink first thing I might do is try to identify the valve on tractor and see if you can get manufactures diagram of valve ports and such....

@dicktill may be able to help

@h8hoos: It would be very handy to have one or more photos of your loader valve. I'm attaching a photo of the loader valve on my 2022 Massey Ferguson GC1723EB (looking towards the rear). The front hard line is "pressure in"; the top hard line is "tank" or "return". The rear flex line is "pressure beyond" and is the line you want to "break into" to attach the 3rd function valve. For the GC1723E model without backhoe, this is another hard line.

I just installed a wrlong 3rd function kit on my 2010 DK45. The instructions were very clear and included a separate page showing my exact tractor. On my unit the line coming FROM the loader valve to the hydraulic pump under the seat is the power beyond line. It was a solid pipe.

The whole install was very easy, maybe 3 hrs. The only thing i changed later was to add a lighted toggle switch on side fender to kill power to 3rd function controls when nothing was installed on loader that needs 3rd function. Other wise, everytime i bump the switches it would deadhead the system.
