3pt Receiver hitch

They actuall make ones just like ken posted.

They are still compact because they bolt to the drawbar. Adn if I recall They are fairly inexpensive.

But for the life of me I cant seem to find them online:confused: I checked TSC, northerntool, and everythingattachments.com and cant seem to find them. But I could swear I seen them at one of those places before. And I was thinking they were under $100.

Yep, like that. I saw those at northern listed as drawbar stabilizers but it didnt look right with the tuve not being enclosed on the bottom, so I didnt even pull up the big picture:confused2: I could have swore I saw some like that top one somewhere. Either way, $75 delivered for that top one aint bad at all:thumbsup:

i'm in agreement on adding a vertical post to mount the top link to.

on my tractor, the lower arms and the top link have their pivot points in a single vertical plane. i'm not familiar with all tractors, but i don't think this is the case with all of them. for mine i made the distance between my bottom pins and top link hole the same distance as on the tractor. that way everything remains level through the entire lift. this is handy because i can back up to a trailer and lift the 3ph to couple the trailer. for cases when i only need to move a short distance i don't even need to latch the coupler.

i made a 3ph splitter a few years back and i used the remains of another 3ph attachment for the link pins. the vertical height between them is not the same as my tractor, so when i raise or lower the splitter i have to adjust the top link to make it level again. this is something i need to fix because it's a big time waste when i need to roll big rounds on the splitter.

I built one a while back, T upside down welded up using a old class-5 receiver hitch off junk truck I had cut off. receiver part was cut down to about 24" if I remember right and I welded up some pins/plated to the cut out tube. I welded a 2" vert tube off the top with a reinforcing angle in it and a flat plate across the back. been banging around for a few years. I later welded a 2nd cut off receiver hitch to the top center of my FEL and no longer use the 3pt version as with the FEL mount I can see and move stuff around pretty easy...

Might be some pics in my photobucket but not sure. search for "wpspiker" username and look at farm/tractor pics.

Good links guys. I actually didn't go looking before assembling mine, as I needed it in a hurry.

You realize that you are pretty spoiled, eh ? :)

Free fast shipping is about as common as white rhinos in Canada, it would be $40+ to get that shipped to Ontario, Canada.

Those links will save somebody a lot of searching, good stuff !

Our steel suppliers (the Rent-all) can get us 2 1/2" seamless tubing that is used to make trailer hitch receivers. I bought a few feet of it some years ago and just cut off what I need whenever I need a receiver on the back of my snow blower, back blade, hoe, etc. Welder, drill press and instant receiver hitch.....

Here's the hitch i made to haul my dump trailer and other flatbeds around with. I run this with my dump and 4 face cord of wood on the road with no problems. works great! Sorry for the bad picture but you can get the idea. I run a safety chain from the hitch to the stationary drawbar hitch so the dump trailer can't raise the 3pt hitch when dumping . . .John
