I really like the idea of being able to carry stuff though and lift from the rear as well - I could incorporate ballast into the box as well (BTW my tires are loaded but they get really light with the 4n1 on and the BH off).

Whenever I just need ballast for a short period of time it's quicker to just throw some bags of sand onto the carryall than it is to remove the carryall and replace with a ballast box. It's easy to adjust the weight as needed by simply removing/adding more bags.

I really need the ballast on there all the time as I'm apt to do a lift at any time - that's why my hoe is usually on the tractor. The carryall would be exactly that, but its "floor" would be a concrete slab weighing in the neighborhood of 600 lbs. No need to change TPH implements or load and unload to accommodate a lifting operation - this is me with a ten-foot gin-pole out front and my 700 lb hoe as ballast and the rears never get light. The carryall with ballast floor would be intended to replace the hoe as a more useful rear weight.

That pile of logs in front of the pad is my none-too-safe "ramp" to climb aboard and set the trusses - it worked though.

One very important note concerning the trailer hitch, as I have it installed; it ain’t good for pulling logs out of a pile! I knew better but broke the 2”x10” board that the hitch is mounted to. I’ve since replaced it but I may end up welding a piece of 3” angle across to mount the hitch to.

That’s exactly what I would do! Get you a cross brace and weld it up! Then you should be good!

It has 3/4 plywood (stored inside). PVC handle holders and some eyebolts.
The receiver was a scrap metal find and I cut it down and welded to the end.
It all sets perfectly on a HF mover's dolly due to prior perfect planning and meticulous execution of assembly (dumb luck) to roll around on the shop floor.

Custom stickers were done by the artist who also consented to pose for this glamour shot free of charge.

that should be posted in the people hauling things wrong section.. in a car seat but no seat belts!! looks like a "daddies girl" to me and she looks like a keeper!! you should be proud!! my recently turned 26 year old Daddies Girl still blames dad for all her expensive hobbies she did with the family.. her 154" snowmobile, ski boat, hunting, snowboarding.. I just chuckle and say better than spending it over the bar!!
