3 pt rear blade stand?

Steel lying in dirt tends to rust faster. The weight of the blade creates a low spot - stays wet longer. At 62yo my blade should last my lifetime
Dad was always big on not sitting the blade directly on the ground. Is there any real reason not to?

I thought that my equipment was the only ones that grew fungi.
But I see yours does also.

Just buy a piece of black pipe that sleeves in...Screw a cap on top. Screw a base mount flange to the base...

I did the same thing and made it so my stand slips out when I lift the rake to keep from bending it like I did to the original stand.

When I back my tractor into its stall - the rear blade rests on two chunks of firewood. Not worried about rust. It's just too darn dry around here for things to rust. It sits on the firewood so, in the winter, it won't freeze to the ground. Without the wood chunks - the blade will pick up a pretty fair amount of frozen ground.

Yeah i thought about power washing it but it's not like it affects anything.

Several reasons no importance order
•the 3ph may not have gone low enough to attach or unattach at ground level
•if a quick hitch is used, you defeat the purpose at the get go
•saving back strain on heavy implements
•constant contact with moist soil and rust happens fast
•as soil gets moist, weighted items settle more—soon the implement pins are in the ground—they rust, are caked with mud, harder to lift
•if you want to keep a clean look around the implements (grass and weeds trimmed) it is much easier

I just welded on a swing-up trailer jack stand making sure that it wasn't in the way of the swing arms.

Just buy a piece of black pipe that sleeves in. 3/8” or 1/2”. Screw a cap on top. Screw a base mount flange to the base. Drill varying holes for height. Put in a clevis pin. Done.

I did exactly this (after I tried to drive off with the stand down). I used a black nipple painted yellow to match the blade color. Used a black cap on the top and a floor flange on the bottom. Drilled a bunch of holes and dropped in a clevis pin.

Mine came with a kick stand that rotates close and clips in holder
