I double checked in my emails with him, I had said I did not think it was available, but he said he could order them.

I just e-mailed another LS dealer in Salemburg, NC to check again. I'll also e-mail your contact. Something is crazy here. Of course, there was a rumor of a J2027H tractor at one time too, so take that with a grain of salt.

From e-mail from barlowagsvc@gmail.com: "It is true that LS does not offer an Ag tire for that model. I think you could order one on a skid with bare rims and go get ag tires at a tire supplier if you want to go through that trouble. I am sorry that this is not an option that is factory available.

I'm still waiting on another e-mail confirmation from a different LS dealer in NC. I think we're getting misinformation along with mixed tractor series. Believe me, I do wish the J2023H/J2030H did have the R1 Ag tire option. It would be all I'd need.

I just had my 2023 filled with Rim Guard yesterday. It's like a completely different tractor. You wouldn't believe the difference it made with traction. No more needing 4wd unless I'm doing loader work. It was money well spent and should be standard with these tractors.

I was really interested in hearing what difference it would make for you once you got the tires filled Olympus. This is good to hear because, like windcatcher, I was concerned about the lack of traction you were getting with the industrial tires. Even if ags were an option I wouldn't be crazy about having them because of the damage they can do compared to industrial. Glad it made that much difference with the Rim Guard.

I had them filled to 75% which I think was about 15 gallons per tire. It added about 300lbs to the rear tires. I played around with it a lot yesterday and I didn't slip a tire a single time unless I was using the bucket to dig with. I added metal valve stems to the rear and it was $150 for everything.

Olympus, I'm really glad to hear this has worked out for you. Did I read correctly that you only filled the rear tires? I'm wondering what the tractor would be like with all four tires filled. That to me would have to give better traction on top of what you now have.

There's no reason to fill the front tires. You have 500 lbs of boom and bucket providing weight on the front axle. When 4wd is engaged, there is no tire slipping with either the front or the back.

You fill the rear tires so they don't slip and get better traction so you don't have to run in 4wd nonstop.

That's good to know. Do you think you'd get stuck in wet, swampy, slick clay ground? That's the kind of land I am working with.

As a tractor owner, you need to learn when to leave your machine in the shed. Any tractor will get stuck depending on the conditions. A bigger tractor or R1 tires are not the answer to every situation.

I'm confident that my tractor will no longer get stuck AS EASILY AS BEFORE now that I have the rear tires filled. But it will still get stuck if the conditions are too wet and I push the envelope. If the conditions are wet enough that you're cutting ruts, you probably shouldn't be working even IF your machine doesn't get stuck. If you're cutting ruts, your making just as work as your accomplishing.
