I'm sending our pods to my buddies shop who's seen here in these dated pics to be detracked and all bearings spun and replaced if any roughness is felt. Its now the end of there 3rd season and they need to be checked..

I'm also updatingor reinforcing the plow since its the off season now. This machine sees 90% of its hours over the winter..

Moved grooming implements and did trail work today with da 6x6 today.

Update! One of my former grooming cohorts now operates a lawn and garden service shop. He took our 3 season old pods apart (3 or 4, can't recall) to check the bearings. He went through all 4 track pods and found 2 bad bearings on one of the rear drive axles and one rear idler axle. The front main bearings felt good and surprisingly and did not find any rough idler wheel bearings on them. He pulled the caps on all 6 main axles to check for water intrusion. The rear main bearings on order. Normal off season maintenance.

My repair guy messaged me with a $750 repair bill. Nice to have that done!

Da 6x6 was finally out yesterday to see the back side of a 80 acre property. 1st time this summer? The road out to it was a atv path and wet.

I have to admit, I have been pretty set on buying a Honda 500/520 smaller SxS when the time comes but you have made me potentially question that.

Purpose built machine;will take 2 acres to turn though.I will stick with 4 wheels.My Yamaha will about turn in it's own length.

Yes, but it doesn't have a cargo box and less towing capacity in general. Everything in life is a trade off.

We are keeping the 6x6 for the time being.

My Yamaha Viking does have a cargo box.;windshied ,roof and rated to tow 1200lbs.Pulled a 2500lb.tractor uphill with no problem.
I also have a Yamaha Grizzley 4 wheeler that turns on a dime.

Ive used both those machines and own a Kodiak today.
