I applaud your efforts running a saw at arm's length one-handed, and the splitter too. I am throwing out a link to one of the best examples of pro-tree work and knowledge, who posts on youTube regularly, and has been at it for 35+ years. I believe he covers, in his many vids the different saws he uses, especially ones like the 200T and other brands like Echo too. If you search his channel, you will find them. Here's one of the funnier ones about his work ethic, etc, and probably a 200T, or similar Stihl almost ruining his day....

My question to you: why not have guy who broke your saw, buy you a new saw?
Also consider looking for a 200T in local pawn shop or similar venue? I was lucky enough to find both a 190T and eventually a 200T in the same store a number of years ago....
One last thing, might I suggest you at a minimum wear a helmet with face mask and muffs. Your position to the log pile and one hand use of that particular saw put you in additional danger from kickback and a helmet could save you from wearing the chain in your face...Just saying...
