2002 4600 Engine Cover

Not sure if this is the right thread to post but we'll start here. I have a 2002 JD 4600 with a cracking engine cove. Started cracking around the fuel filler cap. Now cracks are showing up in several other places. This tractor has been kept in covered storage since I bought it. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if there was a problem with the material during manufacturing.

Pretty common with the JD plastic body panels, even kept inside they will deteriorate over time.
There are a lot of aftermarket body panels for that tractor, not sure they'd hold up any better, but are available.

It's not unique to JD, Kubota tried plastic on one series of the BX, only lasted a few years and they went back to metal.
