found 2 bottom plow with label on mold board heavy duty, super chief, X series. It is a 16", 3ph. I think each plow would trip. It is not like the wheeled units where you can see the springs and they have the levers for adjustment. It has coulters, but no tail wheel. Can see where there was a tag on rightside of frame going to the center link, that may have showed the trip, and reset but no other info.Tag on mold board may be from replaceded mold boards. My guess is a Ford product. What do you folks think?

Found old papers. Super chief was used by International but I have no other info yet.

Hello tractorhal--The Super Chief is indeed a IH product and has a unusual 2 piece point/share setup--very expensive to maintain and find parts for--Ken Sweet

I sure appreciate the vote of confidence... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

but... plow ID is not my forte'... as I have a 3 bottom of my own, I can't positively ID... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Ken, The shares appear to be one piece, with 4 bolts holding it on . The shins are one piece, two bolts. Haven't done any disassembly yet. Is there any chance of getting parts breakdown, and operating instructions? How do you measure the plows to determine if they are 14" or 16"? Other than some rust the unit looks to be in fair condition. Did each plow trip on this unit? The wear plates, furrow side look in good shape. Thanks.

Hello tractorhal--To determine 12-14-16 inch--Measure from the inside of one main beam to the outside of the other main beam--Points may have been changed over--the original usually had a point that had a replacable tip that was removable from the backside of the point--These plows were trip protected--Cant help on the manual--maybe a Ebay search could come up with one?--Ken Sweet
