1010 gas

I,m looking at a 1010 with drop boxes on rear axle can they be removed and larger tire installed are there advantages one way or other the tires are poor now.Would the pto be live? It hasn't run for two years.

Should have a live pto and should add that the two stage clutch is expensive.
Don't know about the drop boxes, see if you can find them on Deere parts. You would need to know what the shaft end config is.

What are you calling the drop boxes?

I'm thinking the final drive, but wondering.

Yes, the fial drive is what i refered to ,I went on a JD parts page and i see there 3 different assemblies.They were displayed horizontally so my guess is they can be rotated up to sit level ,just a guess or for that matter upwards to put on an extra high narrow rowcrop tire.
