I started reading TBN about five yrs ago. Through TBN, I figured out that a BX2200 was the tractor for me--didn't even go look at any others!

After my purchase is where the real value came in. I saw grill guards, skid plates, and many numerous home made tools that I knew I had to have. I built my own grill guard, skid plate, added FEL chain hooks, a harrow, a ripper, and a ballast box.

Added Pat's easy change system based on info here--great product.

From TBN, I know I need to watch my air cleaner support strap and my power steering hoses as potential failures. And my electrical switches if they get wet.

I try to post pics of the stuff I build, so that others might find them beneficial.

The people that post here are great people, generally willing to help and always offer an opinion. This is a GREAT SITE.

During my last couple of years at work, this site was a therapy session for me. I read it every day at lunch. Now I'm addicted!

Keep up the great site!

Ron

What can I say about this place? There is not another resource online that can give you such user experiences about all the brands of tractors, implements, etc ........period. I own an 8 acre piece of southern paradise and have been keeping up the property with a Hustler Z 60". It was doing the job but cant do other jobs I need it too. After doing some searches for Tractor information, I found this awesome place that gave me a wealth of information, consumer knowledge and it helped steer me towards the equipment that I purchased recently.
Not only do I get a kick about the tractor knowledge, the project thread is absolutely awesome. It has given me some ideas I plan on using around our place in the near future.
Kudos to TBN and hoping that I am around to celebrate your 2,000,000th post.

Hi all, I was out working (on the tractor) yesterday when this milestone was reached but I'll add my 2 cents this morning.

TBN is the reason I have the tractor I do because I was able to read of others experiences. TBN is the reason I have the implements I have for the same reason. TBN is how I have gone from never having owned a tractor to being able to efficiently clear 3+ acres of land over the past year as I have been able to post questions and learn about strategies, techniques, equipment etc necessary for the job. TBN has provided me with insights on safety and maintenance that I would otherwise have been dangerously ignorant of. Mostly however, TBN has been a great on line community and family. A bit of squabbling now and again but basically a great group of people with a common purpose and altruistic attitudes. It's been a pleasure. Thanks to all.

I found TBN while searching the internet for information on my tractor. Little did I know, I was about to find a huge wealth of information and a friendly online community with the same interests as myself. There are other tractor forums on the internet, but this is definately one of best in terms of site design, forum layout, and content and contributions from it's users.

I am new to TBN. I was a lurker for about 2 years before I finally bought my 4320. Since then I have been an everyday reader and have gained much knowledge and really enjoy logging in to see what's new. I have found TBN and all the posters to be friendly, informative, and extremly helpful. This is in contrast to the experiences that I have had with my local dealers. It seems if one is not a lifelong farmer/tractor owner these dealers do not take you seriously. It's nice to have found an open and honest home for discussions about a topic that I am truly passionate about. Thanks for the first million posts and here's to the next million. Cheers!

Three and a half years ago I was a lawn tractor operator who wanted more. I bought a 4 wheel drive Kubota sub compact tractor from a local vendor with no concept of how to operate the thing. I'd never even owned a deisel before. Within a week or so of buying the tractor I found these forums. From that very day I knew I had tapped in to someplace very special. The amount of knowledge here was unfathomable. It quickly became part of my daily routine to log in here and read the forums and it still is. I can now run my tractor and several attachments fairly competantly, including loader and back hoe.

I credit this forum with keeping me alive and fairly safe as I operate my tractor. Without the advice here I would certainly have rolled this unit within the first month.

I have performed routine maintenance as well as several upgrades to the tractor using the advice and descriptions provided here, and I have returned the favor.

I have shared information about my tractor and my experiences with countless people here, but I have also shared stories and opinions on many other related subjects.

I even received comfort and support from kind hearted people when my younger brother passed away suddenly.

In short, this forum is like one big family, providing far more than a little information about tractors.

I like to work projects by first running through all the stages in my mind, especially if I have never done this work before. When I get all the components figured out, I then start working on acquiring the pieces (usually looking to save money on each piece if possible). Sometimes projects expand and unfold and run to areas I had never thought of before. Sometimes I get plain stumped and the project sits for a long time until I can figure it out (ask the Mrs about her first set of bookcases:eek: ).

TBN means help to me with those projects, be it getting “un-stumped”, savings on components, people who have done this before and are willing to share with me their path through the work.

I purchased my Kubota L3010, I purchased and installed a toothbar (with the teeth pointed in the right direction!), I am working to save a barn, I am planning to either add a grapple to my bucket or purchase a QA adaptor & root grapple, I plan on adding hooks to my FEL bucket (with a most gracious offer of welding assistance from AlanB!), I am planning on adding rear remotes, I have pasture to clear, fence to set, and trails to run, all with help from the TBN family.

I agree with what Hazmat said:

it's not what you know, it's who you know that matters - well I'm here to say that tbn is the best "who" I've found in the world.

I very much appreciate the help I have received from the TBN family. I hope to be able to add back as I walk down more paths.

If TBN means sharing, here's sharing my view of "Young Buck" this morning while eating Pancakes and viewing the 1,000,000th TBN post. Gotta go play on my tractor now... I mean work!!:D

Like many, I am sure that I spend too much time on TBN. I know that wife thinks that I do. I started reading and posting when it was the old Kubota site about the same time that I bought my first compact tractor. It has truly changed a lot since then. Back then, you could post a question early in the morning and it might be that night before anyone posted a response or sometimes it might even be the next day. At that time, I read more sites than I do now. Some of them have stayed the same size and some have just gone away. Some have even gone to pay sites. None of the others have grown like TBN. There is not another site on the Internet that even compares to TBN. There are lots of days now that TBN is the only site that I look at other than the news. One thing or maybe one person that really got me hooked on TBN (Kubota site) was Mark Chalkley. I would check everyday to see how his modifications were coming along or what he had planned next. Most of the changes that have taken place have been for the better. Thanks Muhammad and family for providing such a high caliber place for us tractor nuts.

With 1,000,000 posts on CUT and other related items, I would assume all questions have been answered. This site has been fantastic and will continue to be in the future. Thanks to muhammad, the moderators and all others to make this the best site possible.

This is my 100th post on the 1,000,000th thread! I have enjoyed the information and stories tremendously. When my wife comes into the room she says, "looking at tractor stuff again?!", and I says, "yep!" It has been a wealth of information and has help me with operating and buying!

Only reaching 1 million now- I would have thought you would have reached that years ago, so much goes on here.
When I need info on new tractors, TBN was there...
When I was trying to figure out what type of attachment to get for a task I needed to do, TBN was there...
Couple of times I was having problems with my tractor, it was nice to know that I wasn't alone and most times someone had already figured out the fix and posted it.
TBN maybe just a web site, but it is used by great people...

I tripped over this sight doing research on a new tractor for my tiny horse farm. I would ask questions and links to threads from TBN kept popping up. Then I spent and entire week going through back posts and old treads and found all the answers to all my questions and more I never even considered. I made my deals and then joined the group and spend more time hear than anywhere else on the net. The sight is very well run and the members are more than kind even when we don't agree. This group a fine example of what humanity can be when people want to help one another and share ideas regardless of if there are foolish or not. It is a great mix of youth and age, of what once was and what is now. To me this is a home on the net to share ideas with friends

TBN members saved me from a serious buying error when I was shopping for a new tractor. Another thing I like about TBN is that you can ask a newbie question and not get laughed at.

The respect among TBN members compares to none!

I stumbled onto TBN back when it was Kubota.com as i recall. I was interested in a tractor, familiar with Kubotas and was wowed with all the help, friendly people and wide array of knowledge that not only existed here, but was willing to share.

I've been more of a sponge taking it in, than a faucet, spewing it out! (the quality information that is)

:D

To show you how ignorant I was prior to TBN, I thought replacing our beat up IH 444 with a "B" series tractor would be enough for cutting the farm (about 125 acres give/take)

Then I realized an "L" series might be better...

Now we're up to M series...

I always admit that I learn by my mistakes. Surfing on TBN has allowed me to learn by others mistakes and has helped me avoid doing them myself. I've shared stories & experiences, made some new friends and learned more than anyone could imagine. TBN has given me the opportunity to research and read about many things from tractor maintenance to potential attachment procurements. It has also proved to be a valuable source of "in-field testing" feedback. I now realize that before I found this site, I was barely treading water in the ocean of tractor info. Thanks TBNers and keep it comin :D.

I found this site when I was looking to purchase my first tractor to care for my abandoned farm. The site has truly been invaluable in helping me choose my Kubota B-7800 and the attachments to go with it. Not to mention all the great modifications and tricks about owning and operating that I've picked up.
The members have been helpful and courteous. What more could one ask??
