I have watched, read, and started replying. There are some very smart people on this board and it is nice to see all the help that is out there. It is nice to see there are still people out there willing to help others.

I have been coming to TBN for about 6 months now, In this time I have weighed brands of tractors, implements, and tools. I have learned a great deal from reading the posts of experts such as 3RRL, JerryG, and EddieW.
3RRL and his how to's are second to none.
JerrryG's knowledge of the MF brand is what lead me to purchase my 1533.
Eddie's ambition to build his own lake has inspired me to embarq on my on projects.
I have only begun to scratch the surface of what TBN has to offer.
Thank you to the staff here for putting together such a wonderfull place.

What TBN means to me is friendship. I found this place while searching for a compact tractor to replace our IH2500b monster. It had grown too big and I was interested in a practical machine. I lurked for a couple months reading and trying to decide if I wanted to hop into this discussion group...until I read this thread:

Goodbye Kubota Hello Power Trac

by Mark Chalkley. That did me in. I signed up, logged on and started asking questions! Thanks to Mark and PTRich (formerly known as willingtonpizza) I was hooked on the Power Trac. As I became more comfortable with just asking questions, I started having conversations with many other members about many things. Mark, PTRich, Harv, CowboyDoc, RobS, Hazmat and Bird were(and still are) the poster boys for what TBN stands for... "Neighbors helping neighbors." I've met a handful of those neighbors over the last five years. RobS lives close to me. Pajoube and I have visited each other's homes and families. Garry (Golfgar4) visited RobS and me and we had time to share a meal together. There are still many members that I'd like to meet in person and spend a couple hours talking with. (I've left too many out of the list but I could post a hundred folks I'd like to meet up with)Good things to look forward too. :)

That brings me to the folks in the Power Trac forum... It is hard to put into words the feelings I have for the folks over there. They welcome everyone, put down no one and are absolutely the finest folks on the face of the planet. I look forward to reading that forum like I look forward to an icey cold Coke on a hot afternoon or a warm fireplace on a cold winter's night. They are simpley the best.

And finally, I would like to thank Hakim, Muhammad and Ibrahim for providing us with this place that we so look forward to each day. The work, thought and moral standards that they put forth on a daily basis is what really makes this place special. I can log in here and have no fear of what will pop up on my screen if my family is in the room. I can share the stories and photos with my kids. It is like a good old fashioned country store where everybody knows everybody and can share a laugh or a tear over the pickle barrell. Thanks to ALL TBN members for making this possible. I look forward to another million posts.

Well TractorByNet has been the most valuable research tool and is what has helped me to decide on the 2 solid purchases that I made. Also the friendships that I have made through the years has been great. This place is what I reccommend for people asking me about what tractors to purchase. That way they dont have a bias opinion about what color tractor to purchase. One thing about this place is, it is very diverse in all the information it has from all the outstanding contributors here. Well that and the fact that its owner has compiled the best research book there is out there. Happy 1,000,000 Muhammad

TBN has been great for me. I am in the process of buying a tractor and this site has been better help than anything else. I've also gotten tons of tips and ideas for after I get the tractor.

TBN has been an invaluable resource. I have learned much and I hope I have returned the favor to other members. TBN is what the Internet should be about!

Guys I apologize for not responding sooner. You see I no longer get a chance to review all the threads in all the categories as TBN has grown so much since I first joined. A fellow member and friend Spiker told me of this thread, so here we go.

I compare TBN to a coffee-house where friends can come in, sit down, chat, and share ideas on the things that we all love. And sometimes even the not-so-pleasant things that touch us from time to time.

It's a special diverse place that you can visit where one member proudly talks about his brand-new pole barn, while another member posts a cherished family recipe, or yet another shares his grief over the loss of his family pet.

I am proud to be a member of the TBN community, and thank all that make this place home to many.

I haven't been a member long, and lurked about a year or more before joining, until I actually found something I could contribute. I've loved tractors all my life (think new 8N) but the closest I ever came was a 5HP Snapper 26 inch - ran it more than 20 years. I no longer have even a house, let alone property, so am not even in the market, but maybe I will actually be able to retire one day.

Having watched, read about, and lurked around agircultural, construction, and transportation equipment as much as I have, I find I have learned more about using tractors and caring for tractors here than anywhere. My hat is off to all the people who had the courage to start this forum, and to build it up by contributing so much of their time and knowledge, not t mention opinions!

Congratulations on 1,000,000 posts.

TBN has, in all reality, changed my life. I got a used CUT and needed advice on upkeep, operation, and repair. I found TBN and the shared experience, suggestions, and ideas opened my eyes to just how much can be done with and to compact tractors. I now have 5 small tractors in various stages of repair or modification. I have taken up welding. I have joined a local antique tractor Club, and I have a budget category called "tractors" that is usually in the red.

I look forward to a million more posts and ten more years of great advice, much needed encouragement, and a place where I belong.

In the 5+ years that I've been on TBN, I've learned a lot about tractors, implements and related issues, and made some really good friends, such as John Miller III, my auction buddy, and Bob Ancar, who lives less than a mile from me, but I never met until we read each other's posts on TBN. TBN is a real community with a wealth of knowledge and a ton of good people.

TBN members have been great help in solving many of the problems I have had and, more importantly, helped me prevent problems by reading their posts and listening to their advice. Now, I would not buy a tractor or attachment without researching it on TBN first. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came across TractorByNet after I had bought my tractor. I didn't realize that something like owning a tractor could bring so many people together to discuss a very wide range of subjects. I have used it to request information and to put in my 2 cents worth. I usually just read the responses and eventually see the same ideas I have, or find information that will help me down the road. Yes it's a great forum.

I don't post much but I visit everyday when we are not traveling /camping, it is my morning fix. Met some of the members in person and try to keep in touch with them, they are good people. I must say I have learned more from this forum than I would have thought possible. Congratulations TBN to your 1,000,000th post.

I came to TBN by way of the Power Trac corporate web site. The openness of members & their willingness to share their knowledge and opinions is very refreshing. I've been shopping for awhile now and it is still amazing how every question, no matter the brand site, is answered with genuine concern for my having the most information possible to make my decision. It is also entertaining, I laugh out loud sometimes, and informative in so many ways. A good bunch of people.

What TractorByNet.com Means To Me?

Useful Information!

I found TBN when I was looking for my newhollandjohndeere and ended up with a Kubota. I was able to talk to the salesmen like I wasn't a first time tractor buyer. We talked about HST, Ag vs industrial tires, canopies, hydraulic remotes, tooth bars, box blades, backhoes, mowers... all of this information I learned here on TBN.

I found this site not only useful for my first tractor buying experience but also for any questions or problems I had with my tractor.

Then I found out this site was a good source for all sorts of projects, from buildings to bridges and welding to wood working. The many projects and tools to do them are always interesting topics.

When TBN came out with the Get-together forum and the northerners started having tea, :p Texas just had to outdo them with the biggest Get-together in TBN history. TBN friends are good people.

I would have never thought that when I moved way out to the country the Satellite INTERNET (to get TBN) would be a necessity and satellite TV is not.

Thanks TBN for your useful information and connecting good friends.
