TBN has been a great tool for learning about tractors and related equipment.
When reading thru posts, I always manage to do find something humorous, something serious and something that will help me the next time I am in the operator's seat of my equipment - oftentimes all within the same thread! Keep it up, and here's to the next million.
Cheers!
Steve

TBN has helped educate me about all the different brands of tractors, features and attachments. Because of TBN I have been bitten by the tractor bug and will hopefully be purchasing my first 'real' tractor here soon, probably a Kubota B2410.

TBN is such an awesome resource for tractor owners and tractor shoppers. This site makes the others seem inferior. TBN is my go to for advice, opinions, discussions, etc. There is nothing better on the internet.

TBN has got to be the greatest web site I've ever stumbled onto! Not only do I make it a priority to check and read new posts everyday, but if it wasn't for TBN, I wouldn't have the tractor that I have now. I've been to many tractor sites, but nothing can touch TBN. The people are great and the infomation they give is always helpful.

I could not be happier to see this milestone reached and know that I have been helping to make it happen. Being in the Ag & Compact industry I love being able to come here and read what is happening out there and at the same time answer questions and help people with problems.
Congratulations and happy tractoring to all.

In the short time that I've been a member of TBN I have learned a great deal.
I initially found the site when I was looking for tractor for my soon to be retirement farm. Any time I have asked for information I have received many helpful and informative responses. I can't thank everyone enough and only hope that I can be as helpful to others as they have been to me.

I found TBN bout 2-1/2 years ago when the wife and I decided that I was going to need a new tractor if I was to maintain our rural property. I had a 20 year old B6100 Kubota and a 30 year old IH444 that was beating me up. Reading and asking questions helped me to select the best tractor for me. TBN also helped me to understand and configure the hydraulics to utilize a grapple and the Hy-Reach Tree Shear.

I hope that I have been as much help to others as they have been to me.

TractorByNet started out as a place to learn about compact tractors from people who actually own them. I had very limited experience on an old Kubota that a friend used to own, but had never even heard of the brand I bought before coming here. My decision was based on the information I gathered from the members of this site based on their real world experiences. To me, this is the most valuable type of information you can get.

I grew up working on rental homes, and have been in construction for most of my life to some degree. But I lived in a very populated area and didn't have any exposure to barn building. Spencer started a thread on his pole barn that I found just amazing!!! Then shortly after that, Henro did the same thing, followed by a few others. That's when TractorByNet took on a whole new meaning for me. It's not only a website about tractors, but all things related to country life.

I built my first pole barn based on the information I learned here, then I went on to buy a few more tractors and a dump truck. All based on the advice and information I learned from the forums here on TBN.

To say joining this site and seeking advice from the members here has been invaluable is an understatement. At one time I tried to calculate some of the savings I've managed from advice I've recieved. It's in the tens of thousands of dollars, but after that, it gets a little vague. From sources of materials to advice on how to rebuild a diesel engine to digging up stumps to welding and building my own implements, it's all added up to some very significant financial savings!!!!

I've also become more knowledgeable about building techniques and methods. Living in warmer climates all my life, I've never heard or even thought about what it takes to build a home in the Northern States or Canada. Dirt work, concrete, framing and just about everything is so different. When the members here post pictures of there homes or other building projects, they share ideas on how they did something that I find that I had never considered or thought of. Having more choices allows me to make better decisions on my projects.

I've found that it's almost impossible for me to start a project without posting it on one of the forums. The comments and advice I recieve are so valuable that there is no way I'd want to take the chance of making a mistake or missing out on an oportunity that I had never considered.

We are very fortunate to have such a vast amount of talented and skilled people here, who share there knowledge freely and openly. Some of you can, and do, charge allot of money for your time profesionally, but here you give it out for free just to help out a fellow member. I value everyones advice here, as it's proven to me over and over again that those of you with more knowledge in what I'm trying to do have be so generous in helping me out. To all of you, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It's just been such an eye opener for me to be able to read other members posts and to be able to interact with them on what they are doing. And as an added bonus, there are a bunch of members here in Texas that I've met personally and had the extreme pleasure to have visited at their homes. This has been a true pleasure to me and my wife, as TBN has become a part of our life, it's more than just a website, but a community of friends that we have become attached to. Many we'll never meet face to face, but some have travled half way across to country to stop by and say hi, and one day, we'd like to do the same.

Thank you,
Eddie Walker

I found TBN just about a year ago when I moved from a house on a postage stamp in the city to a multi-acre spread in the country and suddenly realized that I needed a compact tractor to keep it maintained. The knowledge and wisdom freely shared by the members of TBN was truly helpful in making my decision and finally purchasing the compact tractor that I need to care for my acreage. And now that I am a tractor owner and not just a shopper, I am finding more and more practical knowledge and advice to help me get the most out of my investment. THANK YOU for building this site up into a place where wizened tractor owning veterans will freely share their love of the land, the outdoors, and a little honest (and mechanically aided) hard work with those of us new to that love!

Tractorbynet, means a lot to me. For several years I was a lurker, before joining the family. There are many pros and cons on just about everything to do with tractors, and much more. No single individual would ever think of all the ramifications on some project. I find it to be of exterme value. Even from those who disagree with things I say, or am thinking about doing, I find invaluable information. I have also found that many on here are extremely well educated in many areas. It is a storehouse of practical everyday, and technical, knowledge.

I was in the market for a CUT and was talking to a good friend. He suggested I consider a Kubota. I knew nothing about Kubotas so started looking on the Internet for information and literally stumbled onto TBN. Great source of information. A wide range of people and ideas. After a couple months I had learned enough that I was ready to purchase a tractor and it was a Kubota. I also counted my picture collection and am proud to report I have saved 250 pictures from this site of projects I want to build or ideas of how to use my tractors. Thanks to TBN's members, they are what makes it work. :)

TractorByNet has been the best place for me to get information from people who ACTUALLY use the tractors on a daily basis.

When I have a qusetion, I know I can find the answer of TBN!

I have to ditto everything Eddie Walker said.

I read TBN for a couple of years before I ever registered. From what information I read helped me in buying my CUT. And has helped me in deciding on a new utility tractor.

The information is great on many different subjects besides tractors. Many times I have started a new project and come to TBN to see if anyone has done something similar and 9 times out of 10 they have and I usually find a better, cheaper, or faster way to do it.

There is a plethora of information on this site. I still read alot more than I post and most days I find some valuable information for a project I am planning in the future.

I'm a newbie. Its impossible to describe how much I've learned from a short time reading this forum. Wow is it dense with useful info. Nice people too.

And I'm another one who actually knew more than the sales guy at the local dealer after reading this place! :) :-(

TractorByNet has forced me to spend over $120,000 at my friendly KUBOTA dealer, and for that I am happy!!! :D

TBN has been a great source of information and entertainment for me. I've always been fascinated by tractors and machinery. Growing up I drove my grandpa's 14HP Power King Economy Tractor. We didn't have much land or use for a tractor. After my grandpa died my Dad didn't do anymore gardening so the tractor was just used for mowing. After getting rid of that I always planned to get a tractor when I was older and had my own property. Fast forward to 2003. I had been out of college a year and was kind of looking around for some property. I started a project of regrading my grandmother's yard since it was very rough and difficult to mow. I wasn't getting very far with the Troybuilt Tiller and hand tools. That's when I decided to start looking for a tractor. I figured why not get it now while I'm able to and have it ready for when I buy my land. That's when I discovered TBN. I learned a wealth of knowledge from reading TBN. That's when I bought my Kubota L3130. Life takes unexpected turns and I didn't buy any property. I found my future wife, changed jobs (pay cut) and ended up getting married 2 years later and wasn't able to buy any property. So, my tractor has 100 hrs on it now, with me only putting about half on there. I let my (very trustworthy) uncle use it alot. It mainly sits at my Dad's house since I (still) don't have any property, so I don't have any use for it. I don't have any implements anymore since I sold my box blade to buy a bigger one. I don't have a trailer to haul it on so I can't find any side jobs to use it for. Money is tight since we have a baby on the way and my wife is very difficult to convince I "need" to buy anything for the tractor. I've come close to selling it several times, but a huge part of what keeps me from doing so is TBN. I read the stories on here & look at the pics of all the projects everyone else does and I just can't wait to be able to do that myself. I wan't to build some attachments for it and I want to do some modifications so bad. TBN helps keep my hopes up that I'll be able to do that in the not too distant future. Hopefully within a year or so we will be able to buy some land and get out of this mobile home park.

Thanks,
Jarrett Lambert
