See that o-ring in there. Thats what I did to tighten fit on the V-modest one. It fits against the O of the intake base that seem shorter.

Your other 25cc look like this? Those are a older design Zenoah did way back. Those were the first 25cc clones and like you said much heavier. Zenoah 2500 aka also done in many other names 2500. Was so glad to see them do the 25cc clones from echo 2511 instead. Much better saw then the rest.

I took them of the red epa stops off L H. They wouldnt let me get over 10.5K rpms on H side, as thats how they stop you from adjusting. Ran it fat long enough breaking in. Took red stops off and got full carb adjustment. Now I am at 12.5k I had it at 12.8K but was super hot and when cools off...

Yep but if compare the areas where they go made differently too. Air filter mounts. OEM deeper but not pulling apart to measure anything (if I recall right) v/s clones. Thats also why oem filters didnt work on the small mounts of clones. Why folks were rednecking big time.

Ya that why dont work. See how I done it to butt up against end of mount. Really wasnt needed on the Farmertec one. Even OEM lets fines by so may want to grease like I showed. I have to do stihl's same way.

Where did you try to put a o-ring? On my Farmertec one wasnt really needed honestly and just made it even more snug. Almost to much so. Grease outer only if that is wear you tried to put your oring. Need to match up right oring for sure to even work right.

I've used it on missing flocking on older NLA filters too. Works great. These are NOS flocked ones but to show.

When I ever do need filters. I am going to order the bigger oem mount like you and just go to oem filters. That way all on same page and easy to get. Scotty is only one I know of to get small filters from. Something I learned on NLA mesh filters. Just use Sealall for rips or gaps etc...

Make sure you trim oem gasket. Heat shield I would imagine too. If the ext outlet is size of new muffler.

If you read about sloppy air filters. It was probably the wrong size one put on it. OEM size is bigger and when the mold broke the clone companies put the oem size on which is wrong for clone saws. Why I showed all of this with the carb info in this thread earlier too.

2511 OEM and clones built right. Bolt on cylinders like they should be for a pro grade saws. Not some clamshell thing like echo 271, cheap poulans and stihls.

Echo 2511 oem pro grade saw in rear handle weighs less then that homeowner clamshell cheap 271T saw. 2511 TH about 7 ounces less then rear handle 2511 too. I have passed on used 271T for 75-100 here as they are crap turds IMHO

Clones are open port like stihl 200T is. But still great runners. Prob helps keep cost down that way. OEM is closed. Carbs are smaller on clones with smaller air filter mount area and filter. Make sure they send you right air filters. I seen one clone company sending them out with wrong size...

Just to show the husky small flip cap can be made to work on the magnesium cased 346 353 351. Same small cap I use on 2511 with no mods and oil cap 501 no mods. Grind that area down on cap and grind the threads down to clear them too. Then file between threads also to gasket. Fill to top...

I put Nano on my clone by Farmertec G2511 to compare to my OEM one with Egan pipe and Nano. Remember Egan pipe on oem good for 28% over stock oem muffler alone. ;) Not bad for first cuts.

Dont forget to tune them out of the box. Every clone I have every got is fat from get go. Need to tune like oem to you mix.

Only like 4oz more then oem. Part of that is extra bar stud 2 instead of 1 and extra bar nut. Prob a couple oz right there alone. Bet clone muffler makes up rest being a better open muffler with pipe. PHO dry

Today being I run 325 on the echo 50cc x3 and 3/8 on the 2x 59cc. Wouldnt be same bar or chains used. I couldnt count in my head how many 50cc-54cc range saws I even have in smaller size ones. I grab Echo 501 50cc first since super light 50cc, then if bigger got to the ported 359.

Now days lightest saw that will do the job quickly. Out of those prob the ported 357. I have yet to see a 357 run like that one did. New off the reel oregon CL so pretty dull. Aspen cant.

Think like 1 more slot and maybe little more open on 501 4910 deflector top. 490 lower. IMHO still isnt enough. Inside tube pops right out. Open front up. Echo always hold their saws back by mufflers.

Also to help keep fines from getting by the mount area. Oring. Then small gain by doing this on them. Proven on dyno with stock and then removed. Really nothing to worry about as my 2 stock 501 I havent done it yet. But did on the ported 490.

Echo 2511. Just seen they make 18" 20" 1/4" mini micro bars for these. Why no clue. But ported seen it cutting right through like hot cutter. Think that would be better on a rear handle one. I put a 14" on mine even with nano 325.

Past saws. All ported but the one 365. No brand loyalty here, they need to earn my trust in the model. Pick the best from the makers for use. Even doing that still today.

Sent email to one in my group and south of me. He sells both of them and can set up with different options then just buying straight from makers if needed. He also works on saws which is a plus. I wont recommend dealers that dont work on saws myself. Stock 3/8LP they come with in middle.

25cc small saws. Also if picking one set to do everything. Get the Oregon Nano set up in 325 043. 1/4" mini micro smoothest for fruit tree pruning. But also slowest cutting. 3/8LP better on the 35cc saws for quick dismantling cuts. Nano 325 slower cutting on 35cc but smoother.

OEM 2511PN and 2 clone 2511 Egain pipe on OEM good for 28% over stock oem stuffed muffler. Clones are open mufflers with smaller pipe already.

Thread on old metal gas cans on my CRG. Dang if the one I have was even older then ones guys showing. I dont even use it even though like new inside still. Red wooden handle taped.

Both the little echo's as used filled up.

Tested echo 3510 one more time to make sure good enough for dad and easy to start and idle all day if set down too. So far so good. No way I would ever pay the $299 retail on one of these. I would have been disappointed. Even with my 10% off for $269. Glad I found this used one for $100...

The 3510 was tuned right. 12.7k. I forgot I had my fat work set up on the 2511 with egan pipe at 11.5k. Should have leaned it up around 12.5ish too.

3510 weighs over 2.5lbs more then my 2511 rear handle. Even as used my 2511 lighter then 3510 PHO dry weight. But book specs show close to same as the 2511 with egan pipe on it. Least hp etc. Might need to compare. 25cc to 34.4cc 3510 has muffler mod too. 3410 1.7hp 3510 2.01hp and 2511...

Matching up the kit. 3510. Going with tan check side being dad cant get efree and goes through many gallons of ethanol mix.
