If you read about sloppy air filters. It was probably the wrong size one put on it. OEM size is bigger and when the mold broke the clone companies put the oem size on which is wrong for clone saws. Why I showed all of this with the carb info in this thread earlier too.

2511 OEM and clones built right. Bolt on cylinders like they should be for a pro grade saws. Not some clamshell thing like echo 271, cheap poulans and stihls.

Echo 2511 oem pro grade saw in rear handle weighs less then that homeowner clamshell cheap 271T saw. 2511 TH about 7 ounces less then rear handle 2511 too. I have passed on used 271T for 75-100 here as they are crap turds IMHO

OEM mufflers are so stuffed up. Locals muffler he did. He added extra exit opened other and removed the baffle with 3 small holes in it.

Egan pipe only thing it needed. 28% gains on OEM That other CNC muffler from west coast cant touch that. Be like modding the oem muffler then.

Just to show the husky small flip cap can be made to work on the magnesium cased 346 353 351. Same small cap I use on 2511 with no mods and oil cap 501 no mods. Grind that area down on cap and grind the threads down to clear them too. Then file between threads also to gasket. Fill to top...

I put Nano on my clone by Farmertec G2511 to compare to my OEM one with Egan pipe and Nano. Remember Egan pipe on oem good for 28% over stock oem muffler alone. ;) Not bad for first cuts.

Dont forget to tune them out of the box. Every clone I have every got is fat from get go. Need to tune like oem to you mix.

Only like 4oz more then oem. Part of that is extra bar stud 2 instead of 1 and extra bar nut. Prob a couple oz right there alone. Bet clone muffler makes up rest being a better open muffler with pipe. PHO dry

Today being I run 325 on the echo 50cc x3 and 3/8 on the 2x 59cc. Wouldnt be same bar or chains used. I couldnt count in my head how many 50cc-54cc range saws I even have in smaller size ones. I grab Echo 501 50cc first since super light 50cc, then if bigger got to the ported 359.

Now days lightest saw that will do the job quickly. Out of those prob the ported 357. I have yet to see a 357 run like that one did. New off the reel oregon CL so pretty dull. Aspen cant.

Think like 1 more slot and maybe little more open on 501 4910 deflector top. 490 lower. IMHO still isnt enough. Inside tube pops right out. Open front up. Echo always hold their saws back by mufflers.

Also to help keep fines from getting by the mount area. Oring. Then small gain by doing this on them. Proven on dyno with stock and then removed. Really nothing to worry about as my 2 stock 501 I havent done it yet. But did on the ported 490.

25cc small saws. Also if picking one set to do everything. Get the Oregon Nano set up in 325 043. 1/4" mini micro smoothest for fruit tree pruning. But also slowest cutting. 3/8LP better on the 35cc saws for quick dismantling cuts. Nano 325 slower cutting on 35cc but smoother.

The 3510 was tuned right. 12.7k. I forgot I had my fat work set up on the 2511 with egan pipe at 11.5k. Should have leaned it up around 12.5ish too.

3510 weighs over 2.5lbs more then my 2511 rear handle. Even as used my 2511 lighter then 3510 PHO dry weight. But book specs show close to same as the 2511 with egan pipe on it. Least hp etc. Might need to compare. 25cc to 34.4cc 3510 has muffler mod too. 3410 1.7hp 3510 2.01hp and 2511...

Matching up the kit. 3510. Going with tan check side being dad cant get efree and goes through many gallons of ethanol mix.

I had one of those dolmar 90cc 9000 9010. Like said parts really tough to find. I wouldnt stump with it unless willing to write it off. Mine was early one that had to be updated with 9010 fly and coil. Had the dual bar mount option. Dont know if they did that later on or not.

Farmertec 2511 clone version is nice. $99 shipped from US. Comes with 3/8LP 12" but throwing a Oregon Nano set on for some testing also.

Liking the Farmertec version of the 2511. Guys said putting Egan pipe on seen good gains too. Close to 30% they said. Only thing got to cut cover on clones. Friends that is going to port this one and ordered another for stock to compare.

Going put my other oregon 325 Nano set up on the Joncutter 2511 by Farmertec and see if any gains in cut time over my best 3/8LP full chisel I ran on it. The 25cc seem to really like the nano 325 043. 1/4" mini micro the smoothest for pruning. But is also the slowest cutting of the 3 tested.

Echo clone 2511 25cc just started 2nd tank and only $99 bucks shipped stock. From US dealer or US warehouse in NJ. :cool:

Making a 3/8 135dl Farmertec full skip chain. 😂 had to improvise since chain scale I use only went to 123dl 3/8. Hopefully fits the bar with 8T rim or will have to add a link or go 7T For G3120

Maybe today I might break down and stick that full wrap 357 359 346 353 handle on. Out of the 3 saws I have it will fit. Think it will go on the Corey Cory Fabcorp ported 359.

I wished I had had a 42" and my G3120 I have now for this stumping I did. But only had a 32" and G466 77cc. Part I cut was 46"x45" Sure aint getting it stumped with no 20"

462's had a case and piston update and is done by serial number. I wouldnt buy the older ones. They were known to break their pistons etc. When I tested locals 462 and 500. I preferred the 462. Might check out the Echo 620 too. Cheaper then a 261 but 59cc. Run up to 24" easy and seen folks...

Depends on person doing mod. Muffler mods are a first step on stock saws. On a stihl 290-390 a simple muffler mod can get you 18% to 23% quicker cut times. Echo 2511 28% by just putting on a Egan pipe. The echo's and lot of stihls are held back by mufflers.

All 84's have them. Decomps.
