CubCadet Lt1050 Backfires when shut off. Just replaced head gaskets and now the engine runs a little fast at low speed idle and backfires at shut off.

On my 2500 and against the manual I always let the engine idle down for a min or 2 that choke it off the key off... ...my dad hated backfires.

John Deere Vs Cub Cadet Garden Tractors

As far as the video goes I thought both tractors were made by MTD so...it's 6 of one or half a dozen of the other. I prefer a CC because I have a long term relationship with a close by dealer...and I'm happy with that arrangement. Now as far as zero turns go I'll be the 1st to admit the...

FEL vs box blade for spreading dirt

To fill and level a hole in you yard a FEL will do the trick. To level a gravel driveway a box blade or grader is the better attatchment.

    Light duty FEL Brush Cutter

For as little to cut that you have considering renting a brushhog for the thick brush then the regular mower to cut the weeds once or twice a year to keep them in check. Or just farm out the job.

    Generator Selection?

I have limited resources and this is my generator story. While I was on active duty the wife had to update our heating plant and she chose propane. So during casual conversation the propane guy supposed we'd be getting a whole house generator now that we got this big 250 gal tank for gas. He...

Need advice. 釘ush Hog for tractor

...just riffing on some other comments. Years ago when I first got a used brush hog I got some real useful advice from my old timer neighbor. He suggested that when I was brush hogging to use lower gear and the FEL as a bumper by keeping it just off the ground when moving forward. Also to...

    Anyone cut firewood for health/exercise?

I suppose I would somewhat qualify ... ...but I wouldn't call it exercise because I doubt I reach the target heart rate that real true exercise demands. Good range of motion movement though. We've been using a wood stove since the bi-centennial. I enjoy firewood production and we appreciate...

    Kubota B2920

My advice on the MMM is directed on the difficulty of mounting/dismounting. You may be tempted to leave the mower on and go into the woods and ding up the mower. The MMM does make a better cut though...I suppose as a wood cutter/tree hauler I'm spoiled on the quick changing 3ph attachments.

    Kubota B2920

That's a good price and if it were me I'd buy it asap. I say that as an owner of a B1750 with loader since 1990. I've used the loader aggressively, hauled tons of trees through the woods and pulled my 72'' woods mower. You'll never regret that purchase. My only advice is to avoid a mid mount...

Cub cadet gt 2544 with kohler command ch 670 after 15 to 30 minutes sputters like it’s getting no fuel then dies.

...or try blowing some low PSI compressed air back threw the line after you take the gas cap off... ...just riffing on dieselbob's post.

Cheap ways to put a roof over equipment?

I was faced with the same dilemma as the OP, what we did was to attach 2 lean-to' off the west end of the garage and house. The shorter end is still eight feet up. Really freed up the garage space. Often times we'll sit out in one during the rain and appreciate the shade they offer too.

Low areas that stay wet in spring

jacobsdaddy if the road ditch drains out then I would back-blade in a gentle slope-ing shallow swale hole to the road ditch. btw you can black blade if the ground is moist otherwise you have to plow. The great thing about swale hole ditching is that you can mow over them...they're low impact...

    carry-all for back of tractor

I cobbled this slip-on 3PH tool carrier in about 20 minutes. Knees got tired of carrying tools in the bucket. Loved it so much I jury rigged some line to the ROP that allowed it to accommodate long handled tools. It's just slip on slip off...just adjust the 3ph down limiter wing nut so the...
