    Titan Flail Mower

I have both a hole and a slot for the top. I tried the slot yesterday, but wasn't sure where to set the top link in it. I'll try getting it setup on level surface again and putting top link in middle of slot after 3pt lift arms are set to give right height.

    Titan Flail Mower

I'm also not sure the best way to set the cutting height. The roller bar despite the manual saying it is adjustable, it is not. I've been using the 3pt lift to adjust the height based on how high the safety chains are off the ground. This doesn't seem right as I'm constantly adjusting the...

    Titan Flail Mower

A few updates to share. 1. Hitting rocks can be detrimental to the hammers ;). I found a rock in a field that I missed, the flail picked it up. Broke two hammers and dented the mower. Fortunately hammers are cheap and I bought 15 spare ones. 2. Installing swivel orifice adapters with a .031...

    Titan Flail Mower

My rear tires are loaded with ballast, so I have that covered. My dealer recommended 1/2 swivel adapters with an orifice to restrict flow. The were only 5 bucks each so order 4 to try out. If they don't work out I will visit a hydraulic shop for alternatives. I'll pay a little more...

    Titan Flail Mower

Got it, I don't think my remote valves support it, or if they do its not in the manual and I can't seem to work them in any way that would indicate they are in float.

    Titan Flail Mower

Tell me more! I have three remote valves. The two that I am using have detents, the one that I am not using does not. Not sure if I have a "float" valve. I'm new to the world of rear remotes.

    Titan Flail Mower

Got to spend a little more time on it tonight testing it out. Getting a little better at feathering the remote valves, it might just be more operator error vs need flow limiters. It did a great job cutting along the fence line, Impressive how close you can get it by working the remotes...

    Titan Flail Mower

A quick test around the yard yielded good results. Initial impressions are to take it slow, there are lots of things to be watching and monitoring at the same time. I am also going to need to find a way to slow down the rear remotes, moving the hydraulics with engine RPMS at right level to...

    Titan Flail Mower

Assembly, greasing zirks and putting oil in gearbox is probably a good solid 1-2 hour job if you do not run into issues. Mine was closer to four due to a slight defect that caused me to damage some threads on a large bolt.

    Titan Flail Mower

Having someone to help with the assembly is a plus. The swing arm and 3 point assemblies are heavy and awkward to move around.

    Titan Flail Mower

Unboxing the unit and assembly takes some time. It's very heavy and robust. There is no cheapness anywhere that I can detect with the product.

    Titan Flail Mower

Greetings, I took the plunge and purchased a Titan attachments flail mower this past week. In doing research for this particular flail, I found very little information on the web regarding it. I figured I would document as much as I can to help anyone else that may be looking at one of...

    New fuel can feature

After years of frustration with all the safety cans I finally got ticked off enough and found a better solution. VP Racing cans. I have yellow ones for Diesel, Red ones for gas, and green for 2cycle mix. They work really well, should last a long time and have none of the safety crap on them...

    Quick Hitch issues

I figured I would come back with a status of where things are for me. I purchased a Pats system and really got to compare it to the quick hitch that I was struggling to get mounted. I have a total of six implements. All different manufacturers and all of various ages. Of the six, only...

    Quick Hitch issues

After messing around with the quick hitch more over the weekend, its just not worth the effort to retro fit it and all my implements to make it work. So I ordered a Pats and will be selling the quick hitch setup. Seems like the best alternative to making hitching up quicker and easier...

    MT352 remote disconnect specs

Anyone know what the type and specs are for the factor remotes on a MT352? I cannot find anything in the manual as to what type and size of quick disconnect they are.

    Quick Hitch issues

Its actually a Cat2 Hitch per spec from my owners manual, but not a real cat2 hitch as I am learning. The balls are cat2, but the width and height of the top link are all cat1 specs. I can't use a cat2 quick hitch as all my implements are cat1. I'm going to try mounting some lift arm...

    Quick Hitch issues

HF no longer sells the quick hitch :-(. I got a gift card for Agri supply and hence the reason I went that route.

    Quick Hitch issues

I recently ordered a quick hitch from Agri supply online. When ordering, I had two options a Cat 1 that had a width of 301/4", vs a Cat2 With 37" width. All of my implements are Cat1 and the widths fall right around the 30" mark. So I ordered the Cat1. The hitch arrived today and...

    Radio

I just purchased a MT353HC and added my own radio. Picked up the radio (same as SidelRanch video) along with a pair of Pyle speakers for Amazon. Less than 100 bucks for everything I needed and I have good sound with bluetooth. Took about an hour to install it all.

    3-Point Hitch Hydraulic top link

Learned something new today, I have a "Franken-Hitch". Top link is a Cat1 on both ends. Lift arms have Cat 2 sized components and balls on the implement side, but cat 1 sized pins on the tractor side.

Whats the hose management system you are using on your grapple? I need to get one for mine

    3-Point Hitch Hydraulic top link

I'm no expert, but my dealer did show me the cat 1 on the XR was 24" between lift arms and on the MT3 I bought it was 32". He didn't measure or show me the distance to the top link from the bottom link, so don't what that distance is. I can state clearly though that there was a big difference...

    3-Point Hitch Hydraulic top link

Definitely cat2 on my tractor. All my implements are cat1 and I've been using the bushings to hook things up. Cat2 along with the three remotes were a standard selling feature of the MT352 over the comparable XR when I purchased it. Thanks for the TS links. PDF Link has the proper specs for...

    LS Grapple

I bought a grapple new with my tractor. Its built by a local company here in Texas NAI. Dealer really preferred them over the LS grapple. Its a 48" heavy duty rock grapple. I've used it to move quite a bit of rocks and cut timber, cedar and brush.

    3-Point Hitch Hydraulic top link

Anyone have any experience with these top link kits? I have three remotes on the back of my tractor and for the price of 229 for everything, I might take a chance and try one. Cat 2 Top Link kit

My Yanmar served me well. When I moved onto my property after my house was built I didn't know what I would need in terms of a tractor. Not wanting to spend a fortune before I knew my requirements I started with a rebuilt Yanmar from Fredericks in Alabama. I had one knuckle seal go bad and...

Lets talk RPMs and Linked Pedal feature

I used it today doing several hours of work with the grapple. It worked really well. Set RPMs at 1800 then linked the pedal. When pushing into a loading pile, or moving between areas, it would ramp the RPMs up to 2300-2400 when needed, then reduce down to 1800 when not needed. Seems like a...

Lets talk RPMs and Linked Pedal feature

Greeting, New to owning my first hydrostat and it came equipped with the linked pedal feature. Its always been my understanding with Hydro's to run at your optimal RPMs (24K) to get the most performance out of the hydro system. The linked pedal I believe changes that for some applications...

Protecting new tractor from the elements

Greetings everyone, I just signed yesterday on a new tractor for my property. I have been using a old Yanmar 2420D for the past several years to maintain 50 acres in Texas hill country. It was undersized, but served me well until I could afford something better. So coming home this week...
