I take the loader off when mowing, and for annual maintenance. My TC40 with loader and rotary mower is a bit over 24' long. Taking the loader off shortens it up enough that I have better clearance working around the trees on my property.

We have an odd setup. The main house is on one panel/meter. The Granny Flat is on a second panel/meter; the well is on that meter. I have run the well and granny flat with a 6500W, but then I need a second generator for anything in the main house.

Safety chains should have been attached to the frame of the trailer, not the sliding hydraulic brakes mechanism. My flatbed is electric brake though (with chains on frame). 5th wheel is electric, but doesn't have chain restraint.

In a lot of cases that is true. They don't make parking spaces for full size long bed extra-cab trucks anymore. Where I work though, there is room. Most people just back in till their tire hits the curb, not paying particular attention to hanging over most of the sidewalk.
