I would first suspect the linkage shaft that goes into the valve may have rusted. All it takes is a bit of moisture and not being used for a while. Keep spraying it and lightly tapping it with a hammer may help the lube to work in there. Good luck.
Ford is having a horrible year for recalls. Breaking the record with only about half way through the year. Maybe manufacturers will bunch all the recalls in one year so they can write them off as a loss?

The OP should ask to see the pump taken apart. If the pump has a bunch of wear, those particles were fed through the oil passages and that is very bad.
Way, way long time ago GM had tried the plastic covered timing chain sprocket. After 80k miles or so, the plastic would start to come apart on the cam sprocket. Replacement new timing sets were metal. Sometimes a piece of the plastic would block the bypass in the pump slightly open, so at idle...
We have a JD X744, diesel, AWS, 62" deck and the wife likes mowing with it. Dad has a JD X749, diesel, AWS, 4x4, 62" deck, snow plow. Neighbor has a X750, gas, 62" deck. There are lots of those Deere garden tractors around here doing lots of work.

A pto shaft with a plain u-joint on each end works best if the angles of each joint is equal. So, with the hitch pin near the center of the pto shaft, as you turn, the u-joints will be at similar angles.
Prices are going up everywhere. The pub I go to raised the prices even before the menus could be printed so they hand wrote the prices in. The new menus are out and they say costs are still going up so don't get use to them. It is the new normal.
I never had a problem with my 1999 TC33D. I would change the oil when the engine was hot so it drained quickly and completely. I would think that the hot engine would thin the new oil so it ran down to the crankcase quickly too.
The neighbor tried one on his skidsteer and it was not that handy to use. You have to skid the machine around to dump the bucket, then skid around to get in position to dig. You will have a bigger problem on the front of a tractor, not being able to see what you are doing.

The chipper only had some heat damage from the Cindertruck burning. What caused it? Who knows at this moment. Someone online said a chipper like that may weigh ~8000 lbs???? I saw a fuzzy video but couldn't see what model Vermeer chipper it was.
In a phone interview with Newsweek, Norwood District Fire Chief John Bockrath said the Cybertruck owner had been chipping wood on a private field.
The Cybertruck was towing the woodchipper, but according to Bockrath, both the truck and the woodchipper had been off for nearly an hour when the...
I have never been impressed with the brakes on tractors, let alone the parking brakes. When retrieving firewood on VERY steep wooded area last year, I learned to appreciate the 4 wheel parking brake on the Toolcat. It always stays where you park it.
I hope the OP gets healed.

What will you be lifting with the carry-all? If it needs to be stronger, the joint between the vertical and horizontal would be my focus. I would think adding a 3x3x1/4" angle the full width in the corner would make a big difference. I use my carry-all on the front of my Toolcat and stacked it...

The neighbor has six 1/2 tons with the 6.2 in his fleet. He has had no problems yet. He also has a bunch of 3/4 and 1 tons.
BTW....the 6.2 crank journals are the same size as the 5.3 and use the exact same bearings. Bad cranks from one supplier can cause quite the problem.

There has to be something going on with the gearbox to have these quick impacts stressing the bolt. Is there a missing gear tooth? A bad bearing? Debris getting in the teeth? Stump jumper not attached solidly?
The bolt is not being sheared. It is being killed by countless rapid lateral shock loads that fatigue the metal at the weakest point...the bottom thread. I wonder how close a fit the hub and shaft are? There should be no slop there. What actual diameter are the holes in the hub and shaft?
I can see why they recommend a grade 8 bolt there. I'm thinking that bolt is to retain the clutch hub to the shaft, not a shear bolt, as that is why the clutch is there. If the clutch is functioning, something ODD is going on to break the bolts. Take a picture of the pto shaft for us to see.
Agree^^ on the "rattling" marks on the bolts. It looks like those bolts are being hammered from all directions...a lot. My cutters will only show the bolt with the one mark just showing it is trying to slightly shear. The OP's bolts have heavy wear all over them. I'm still wondering if the PTO...
I have one of the classic Ariens rear drive mowers. I guess after 34 years it has paid for itself. Yes, I have to engage the handle every time but it has been working. I do wonder about front wheel traction though.🍿
Two places to look would be the arm rest safety switch or the F-N-R switch. Both of those put the machine into park and activate the brakes.

If you squeeze the fuel bulb (last photo), does it seem like it is moving fuel? Does it firm up after several squeezes? When it is running bad, does squeezing the bulb get it running better pretty quick? Sometimes the check valves in the bulb go bad. The lift pump is right after the bulb. You...

The Hyundai Santa Cruz has an 8 speed automatic. Now that the Maverick has jumped in price to the Santa Cruz level, a person should compare both of those.
They had it in tow/haul mode which turns off the hybrid ability.
Getting 14mpg towing that trailer and utv doesn't surprise me. That is a bunch of wind resistance to pull against for that little truck.
Entire garden is planted and is looking good. It looks like the Kohlrabi bolted like it did last year though. I read that temperature swings may cause that. At least the radishes didn't bolt like last year.
It sounds like the pieces that survived reentry will end up at the bottom of the Indian Ocean.
The booster also crashed and will add to the junk at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico.
There are a TON of EZGO dealers around the country, many with a bunch of NOS (new old stock) parts they would love to get rid of. See if a local dealer can get on a dealer parts database to find those hard to get parts. Good luck!
You complained about the price of EZGO parts but have you bought Deere or Kubota parts ever? I had a RTV 900 that I bought a bunch of accessories for and they $ure did co$t a pretty penny. I'm sure the tariffs will make them even more expensive too!
The OP is in Florida so there must be many golf car shops down there. The EZGO are built by Textron as is the Cushman line. They also make the Jacobson equipment.
He made a good choice. My dad's neighbor had VERY steep slopes to mow and had dealers demo their products. He ended up with the CC with the steering wheel because of the ease it did the slopes.

I bet some suckers believed what Musk said:
"That’s a third of the original price out the window for a car that was supposed to be an “appreciating asset,” as Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed back in 2019."
Getting back to the Ford Maverick, the direct competition is the Hyundai Santa Cruz. The Maverick is made in Mexico and the Santa Cruz is made in Montgomery Alabama. They each are unique and have their pluses depending what your priorities are. There are many head to head comparisons online...
My G series has no small pigtails like that on the battery. The mega fuse has a large cable coming into the bottom and 2 smaller pigtails like the OP has coming off the top.
I agree with CD that this job is not the one to goof up on. That being said, using 3/32 6011 as a root passes and 1/8 7018 cover passes would be my choice. Don't rush it and take time to clean between passes so it can cool a bit.
It sure looks like the level is low (who knows by how much:eek:) and the ball is just stuck to the top. I went out to look at mine with a good light and mirror. Before running it too much, I would want to see the fluid half way up the glass!
The guy isn't the only one saying the odometer seems to be racking up miles quickly. Then, how can it be reset to zero with proof (pictures) that it should be at least 200+?

Looking at the specs for that cutter, it looks like it has 5" of blade overlap and about 11,700 fpm tip speed. I doubt it would ever achieve a look like a finish mower being that it is a rough cut mower. I find that early grass tends not to cut as clean as later grass too.
The range extender option has been axed. Also, about 10,000 units are sitting on lots.

Part of the reason I sold the tractor and bought a Toolcat is all the mowing I do on rough ground. I had 1800 trees removed and the stumps were SORTA ground level but some stick up a couple inches. Until they rot, it is a uneven surface. The Toolcat has 4-wheel independent suspension, 4-wheel...

It sounds like all the affected engines came from only one plant. The problem is how the parts were machined and the finish. The fail rate for the affected units is at 3%. I'm thinking that the problem is the surface finish on the crankshaft. Maybe some of the parts were ground in the wrong...
I have wondered the same thing as we hardly put any miles on our vehicles. Would the battery become useless long before the rest of the vehicle sees wear?

I traded my 1999 TC33D on a Bobcat Toolcat 5610 and it has been great for me. Shorter turning, cab comfort, suspension, lifting power, and it still has a 3pt. The main drawback is it doesn't lift as high. Plowing snow is great with it. (y) New ones are the UW53.

It sounds like no radio....just bluetooth. I'm like you and don't do the bluetooth thing. Software upgrades for the vehicle would need a device and app to make the connection between truck and tower.

That substantial roll bar also encompasses the side curtain airbags (and shoulder seat belts) that are mandated for rear passengers. It needs to be sturdy for that purpose. I'm sure the 2nd row seating package will cost a pretty penny as it must pass all mandates.

Back to the OP's question, getting weaker with age is something we will all deal with at some point in our life. Several years ago, I noticed my dad getting so weak that he had a hard time starting a saw. I had a nice MS290 that I sold him for an all around saw he could handle. Then, he said it...
A very valid concern. (y) It seems most tractors have brakes that are wimpy when new get worse as time goes on. It is one of the features I relish the brakes on my Toolcat. I can be working on getting firewood on extreme hills and always feel safe. 🍿
Not everyone that cuts pine burns pine in a wood stove. About half of my wood cutting is trimming, storm clean-up, or landscape work and I cut all species doing that.
If you are cutting real sappy pines the bar and chain will be hot and sap sticks to it. When the saw sits, the gooey sap turns hard and will freeze stuff up. Free it up and lube it, you'll be fine. Turn up your oiler a bit and lube before storing the saw.

I found something...there is a VALVE-2 speed and a SHUTTLE VALVE- 2 speed in both the front and rear drive motors.

That is what the neighbor does though the splitter cycles quite slow (BIG cyl). He is way faster busting apart the big rounds with the frost tooth on the excavator.
Yep, I also know a woman that has been a parts person for about 47 years now. When I need parts there, she is definitely the person I want to get the right parts. (y)
I did meet a older woman at an euchre game years ago that claimed she was a "Rosie the riveter". She was a good card player and her demeanor led me to believe her. (y)
The two KK tillers I have run were silent. A person has to wonder if there is a missing tooth in the right angle box or the side gear box. With it off the ground and pto shaft disconnected, rotate the tines while putting slight drag on the pto shaft with other hand. You would feel a missing tooth.
This is what they look like. The wires are in the conduit and the water exits the casing 4+ feet down. I think the casing is 6" and most wells are 130+ feet deep.

It sounds like they expect you to spend a bunch of money to clean up horrible "water" that you pump out of the ground. Maybe that is normal for your area......I don't know. It is normal to us have clean and cold water right at the well. I hope you are able to get that someday.
There are many wells like that down south as they don't have the problem of freezing like we have. I still say have a well person look at it and have the water tested.
I think you need to get a well guy in there to tell you what you exactly have. Maybe send a camera down to see if your casing has been compromised. Find out how deep it is and have them test the water.
