    TireChain.Com Tire Chains Arrived BUT!!!!!!!

I put one of my new 2 link ladder chains on this morning to see how it would fit. There is not enough clearance between the big fat turf tires and the rear fender bracket. I guess some wheel spacers and extended studs may be in order to cure this little problem. I only need 1/2-3/4" to clear the...

What type of wax to use on a table saw??????????

I have a new table saw that I am keeping over at the barn project. The problem is the top keeps trying to rust up on it. I have tried Turtle Wax and a Silicon based wax. Neither of them will keep the water out. What type should I be using? The manual says car wax. So much for that brainy idea...

Coal ash disposal, What to do with it?

Today we finished up the roof on the barn around noontime and quit for the day because it started to rain. I decided to start digging out the ground near the front of the barn to push the foundation wall back out where it belongs. It seems that my deceased father in law and probably his father...

After last weekends snow I have decided that my tractor really bites in the snow. Those turf tires in the rear just do not cut it. So I have decided to buy a set of chains for the Cub. Undersize Battery and a cure for it

I bought my Cub 7275 back in March. I have always thought that the little battery was quite insufficient for the tractor, especially when it is cold out. Now that the cold season is upon us in full swing, I decided the battery was too small as the starter seems to be straining to start my...

    FEL grape picker

I found a new use for the FEL on my Cub 3275. We have a nice section of cultivated Concord grapes growing at the farm that my father in law planted years ago. Unfortunately they are out of reach and a ladder will not do as the vines are all thru a large apple tree and other small trees nearby. I...

Woods took care of me nicely the other day.

The new belt had 7-9 hours on it tops. I sent the belt back to Woods for a free replacement. They have a one year warranty on belts...

The FEL on my Cub 7275 drops real quick when lowered. So quick that if you are not careful it will scare the heck out of anyone near it. Is there an adjustment to slow this down a bit? The FEL does drop slower when the lever is pushed all the way to the float position.

Fried my Husqvarna model 50 chain saw today

I was ripping logs with this saw today when it quit on me while idleing. The spark was very weak so I replaced the coil and spark plug. Now I have a nice sharp spark and it will not run. Grapple  New toys (grapple tongs) for the tractor.

I picked these up from Northern Tool for $17.99 each, shipped for free. You may wonder why I bought two of these. Tooth bars and breaking tire beads.

You guys are going to love this one. My new (used) trailer had a tire with a slow leak. Tonight I pulled the tire to find the leak was at the beads and rim. My first time use and the Box Blade

I put my new TSC 6' box blade to work yesterday finally. What a thrill to see what this unit can do. I tore right though 1"-1 1/2" roots with it and leveled off part of my logging road to my 36 acre woodlot. Sure beats the heck out of useing the grader blade or loader.
