    B 2910 Hydro oil level

Hi, I just finished the 6th or 7th 300 hour service on my 2001 b2910. The manual specifies 3.83 gallons of hydro oil after a filter and hydro oil change. The last time I did the 300 hour maintenance, I made a note that the dip stick registered over filling. So, this time I only put in 3 gallons...

    Fighting 'Solar Farm' Installation

I think a solar farm would be a great neighbor; no noise no people, no traffic. What's not to like?

JD 130 front wheel hub size

Thanks, That is an elegant solution! I might have a line on an older JD someone wants to take to the dump. I can grab the wheels off of it if it works out. If not, I might try your solution.

JD 130 front wheel hub size

I had posted this under the 'tires' forum but thought I might get a reply here... I have an old JD 130 lawn tractor, circa 1986. The front tire had a blowout and needs to be replaced. JD 130 front wheel replacement

I have an old JD 130 lawn tractor, circa 1986. The front tire had a blowout and needs to be replaced. I would like to just buy a tire and wheel combo but I can't seem to find the correct size wheel. The tire is a 13x5.00-6. The wheel has a 3/4" shaft, and the hub length is 2 5/8". Any of the...

    B2910 bevel gear case leak

I have a tiny leak between the bevel gear case and front gear case on my B2910. I looked at the shop manual and it looks like there is an O-ring between the 2 parts which are held together by 4 bolts. It looks like an easy repair. Is it simply a matter of removing the 4 bolts, sliding off the...

Loss of power. Half filled fuel filter

I think I may have found and fixed the problem. :dance1:I put the scope in the tank and there was some sort of cylinder where I thought the outlet should be. I couldn't quite make out what it was. I blew some air into the outlet hose and something rattled in the tank. I looked again, this time...

MTD Snow thrower Friction wheel pin

I got the pin welded. It isn't pretty but it works. I have had this blower since 03 and since day one it has run rough- surging, but it always did the job. So after getting this pin issue fixed, I took it for a spin and for the first time it stalls under load! The plug looks fine and is...

MTD Snow thrower Friction wheel pin

My snow thrower was stuck in high gear. I opened it up and found that the pin going to the friction wheel assembly had come out. I put it back in and it came out again. There doesn't appear to be any way to connect it to the shift arm assembly Am I missing something?

I got the cowl and instrument cluster apart. Here are some tips if anyone searches for this info again. Remove the screw on top of cowl. The instrument cluster pops out with a screwdriver; there are 2 slots on the top of it. There are 2 hooked tabs on each side of the cowl and you need to...
