I’m sure with “Dave” pushing the gloom, doom and panic on everyone, he will make tons of money off scaring Cummins owners to death.

I have 75,000 miles of mostly towing, much of the time overloaded on roller lifters and no issues.

Just enjoy your Ram and take reasonable care of it.

There’s lot of other problems in the other brands, too.
I’d rather deal with the 1 in 10,000 chance my grid heater bolt falls out than Ford & GM transmission problems. As was said, it’s a relatively cheap & easy fix.

GM has a MASSIVE engine recall in their V-8 gas truck engines. They tried to tell their buyers that changing the oil would solve the problem 😆
GM sold transmissions badged as “Allison” transmissions, when they were not actually Allison transmissions. :poop:

How would you like to own those problems? They are problems that cannot be fixed.

And you’re bloviating about hydraulic lifters or a grid heater bolt? I haven’t had any problems with either of those in 6+ years of hard work towing.

Ford built 100’s of thousands of defective diesel engines for years, which I had the displeasure of owning (6L & 6.4L).
Ford still used the CP-4 “glitter bomb” fuel pump in their newest diesel, and they tell their customers “we replace the CP-4 after it fails”. Great so Ford owners wait until the glitter bomb leaves them stuck in the middle of nowhere….sign me up!! :ROFLMAO:

Ram replaced CP-4’s before they failed.

Ram has longest warranty by far in their trucks. That means they have more confidence in them.
The new 6.7 uses glow olow, no more grid heater.

I swear all this internet hype, hysteria and fear mongering is ruining people.
I'm sure Dave does make some money fixing the flaws of the Cummins engines (and other's too). His mods will increase the chances the engine will go much further trouble free miles. His engine shop is quite extensive and has a great reputation.

Deep down inside, many people are insecure and scared. They have fear.
There are also a lot of people out there who make million of dollars preying on those peoples’ fears. I don’t let histrionics like yours move the needle on me.
The internet is the perfect vehicle for spreading fear and hysteria to little snowflakes like roughdog.

$8,000 minimum to install flat kit. :poop:
That’s insane.
If you really want to fall prey to guys like you spreading fear and not spend 8-10K, just extend your warranty for 3 grand and call it a day.

Or sell your Ram and buy a GM with a fake Allison, or a Ford with a glitter bomb…. or a GM with an improperly polished crank….lol

Nice try ruffdog, but take your histrionics to some softer targets.

You can go directly to his web site too.

Store of Dave's auto repair Utah
I know about that conversion kit, solid lifters, the new roller lifters, grid heaters, glow plugs, etc.

I also know that the vast majority of Cummins owners have no issues with their lifters, and that (contrary to the video's title) the 5th Gen isn't released yet, plus other odds and ends related Rams and Cummins engines.

We have one with solid lifters, one with rollers, and I'm not worried about either one.

The majority of other manufacturers engines don't have a problem either....but, things do happen....to all of them.

Startin Chit here too, tough guy?

Boy, do you have a problem... Maybe time to take your meds? I don't favor any make and I'm not in the market for one either. FYI, I have posted about the negatives on the other makes too.

Thread is about 2025 Hemi, and you troll ‘19-‘24 6.7 Cummins in the thread.
Who’s “got a problem”? :poop:
Who’s “off their meds”? ❄️

Don’t you have some flowers to plant with the toolcat?

You and your fragile ego has ruined this thread. I responded to General Lee's post about the problems with the Cummins before you went snowflake. ❄️
I really don't care what anyone buys or drives, unlike you. As a mechanic, we talk about things that go wrong with vehicles...that's it.

2025 6.4L Hemi specs. Anyone see the HP down 5HP in 25-26? Pretty unusual (according to this guide below):

Interesting that the same motor is rated 485 hp / 475 lb-ft in my Charger SRT 392. Maybe I will be wishing I ordered the 4.10 diffs! :ROFLMAO:
Different priorities in a sports car than a truck.
I’m really sick of the “derated” engines in the cab & chassis trucks.
Can’t I have a choice? Not all cab & chassis trucks are driven by minimum wage employees!!!

If I were younger, I'd probably be chasing down whatever changes or programming mod's would unlock the same HP that the car configuration of that motor achieves. But given my schedule and number of other ever-unfinished projects on my list the last two years, I suspect I won't be getting to that any time soon.

I do think my retirement could closely correlate with expiration of warranty on that drivetrain... so maybe then? :ROFLMAO:
