that wouldn't work here because a few of the people would be driving 60 mph down it , if it were that smooth!

Amazon drivers tried that, once they realized my DRIVEWAY didn't go out back to the houses they were trying to deliver to on the side ROAD, they would spin around my loop, literally throwing gravel on my lawn, and speed back up to the paved road, to go 40' to the 10' wide private road, with a HUGE sign completely over the top of it, indicating what it was, in addition to the county placed standard green sign at the corner!

The gate stops them!

Sometimes they are stupid enough to put packages in my box, for the neighbors (I don't do business with amazon, so I know they are not for me!)

I have my street number from the 911 green reflective signs on the end of my driveway on one side, 4" reflective numbers on my both sides and the end facing the road of my giant sized mailbox ... I also have the top of the package box numbered, and 9" tall numbers like the "No Trespassing" sign above on the other gate, and with the street NAME on it ... That didn't seem to deter the idiots from dropping packages in my box ... My driveway has plenty of lighting, including a "steet light" that I pay for about 25' in from the road.

So I made another couple of signs, directly above and behind the package box which basically says "You're at my street name and number" the 2nd signs says "This is NOT neighbors road name"!

Neighbors out back all have 3 digit house numbers, I have 4 digits ... That's has slowed down most all of mis-delivered packages, they still get up to the gate, read all the signs and then go away!

I don't need much of a crown on my driveway as it's quite flat, and it's easy enough in one pass to really pick it up if I want to ... I have VERY LITTLE TRAFFIC on my driveway NOW ... Really only me when I come home, sometimes it's in my pickup, sometimes with the Kenworth ... But usually less than five round trips per month ...

I have had that attitude about Amazon since they started buying massive amounts of trailers and didn't own a single truck to pull them.

My "dislike" for amazon goes WAY back 20 years, long before they had there own trailers ... Then years later I got stuck hauling some of there junk, horrible company to deal with from a truckers perspective!

The independent delivery drivers must be some of the stupidest they could find, half of them I can hear on my cameras mumbling some incoherent foreign language!

To be fair though ... There is only about 40' between my driveway and the "private road" ... And my driveway looks more like a road than there's ... Plus my driveway is 65" wide at the pavement of the county road ... But ...if they can't read ENGLISH, and all my signs ... They shouldn't be driving on our roads!!!

Used my 7' Land Pride grading scraper yesterday to renew the firebreak around my buildings - remove all the new growth popping up before the roots get deep. Band of bare ground to stop any wildfires from getting to the buildings.

The view from my house a few years ago when a lightning-caused range fire came roaring over the mountains toward my house. Firebreak - and planes putting down fire retardant - kept the fire from my buildings.

Not today! Reading must be optional now ... !!!

Look who showed up? Neighbor called me a bit later and asked to come look in my box ... As the picture they left showed gray box, not black like there's!

The package box he was supposed to deliver to is about 5' to the right of the purple arrow!

Made me laugh!
I designed and built mine with mostly existing materials with "MORE WEIGHT" in mind as a good thing. The heavier it is, the less it bounces as you pull it too fast down a hardpacked dirt road.
Most 25-35 horsepower tractors won't even lift mine off the ground.
However, since most of these are produced by companies trying to make money off of them, and steel costs money, they are mostly built with a lot lighter material than what mine is made out of.

I used mine yesterday.. it's a 72" Beto..I have had several years and it's held up remarkably well. It has scarifiers, 2 blades etc.. not sure of the weight.. probably 400 pounds or so. My machine is a L3700SU..not sure of the weight.. maybe 3000 pounds or so. ..when I'm grading, there may be 6 feet wide of material infront of the 1st blade that's 6" tall, that is flowing over and being smoothed out by the rear blade..That's the way a lpgs should work. If I want to pull large amounts of material, I'd use a box blade. Weight is definitely your friend with a grader, but the OPs question was how big of a grader can his machine handle. I said 5' which is not a pro for what he has. Glad you found humor on that.
