Who rides motorcycles?

I bought something else yesterday to use on the compound. It's not a motorcycle, but continues a trend I seem to be forming: air-cooled Hondas. I like old school simplicity.

And to keep it 2 wheeled relevant, a pic of my highly modified Coleman RB200, now powered by a Wildcat 223.

Bought and installed a few upgrades on the CRF300 Rally. Dunlop D606 rear tire and 42T rear sprocket (2T over stock), X ring chain, additional air intake (nearly doubled volume), Tusk pannier racks, Keni Moto soft panniers. She is pretty much where I want her be now except I have yet to install fork upgrades and usb charge port sitting in boxes...

I finally received the 500 page service manual for the CRF. It is 1.25 inch thick! I guess it is print on demand, I guess? Anyway, it's a very nice manual. A little light weight meaning I will have to be careful with it. But excited to have factory service instruction for the front fork upgrades I have waiting from K-tech.
I had one of these for my XT250 and found it very detailed.

What are "we" modifying next?

I was thinking about adding a couple stickers to my XR, which is hibernating in my heated basement. Small "Seat Concepts" and a small "Warp 9" sticker.

Next up for the XR is shortening the stock kickstand (before spring thaw) and sometime after rejetting and a nice, thumpy slip-on. I love the look of the XR's only SuperTrap.

This was one of the better supertrap pipes, because it started expanding from the clamp back. I have one for an XT600, and it probably made it run worse than stock because they just snaked a straight pipe all the way back to the cannister. No expansion.

There was a company in Houston named Jemco who made great steel pipes.

The bike!!! I'm liking all the mods you're adding to my future bike!!!
I added a throttle tamer. If you're not familiar with it, it's a throttle grip with the cable cam modified so it pulls less in the first 1/4 turn and more in the last 1/4. This reduces the on/off throttle complaint common to most CRFs. I like it, especially helpful when standing through slower technical riding. Next up is a lowering link. The new rear shock upgrade made the seat too tall for me. And wider longer foot pegs for my big feet lol.
Check this tire bead breaking method out. Looks like a real easy way to do it.

We put tamers on both of our MX bikes which makes them a bit easier to handle on trails

My FZ09 is throttle by wire, so my I just select different ride modes.

The Buell is old school cables, it doesn't care what you want 🤣

Ran across this short. Reminded of the fella that posted about his 2wd Yamaha

Having a drive motor on the front wheel seems like it could cause a loss of traction leading to a loss of control.
It seems like a novelty that could be useful in 1 or 2 situations but for sure it didn't become popular for a reason...

Generally, Yes.

However, some slow-folks didn't get that memo......

If I ever (knock-wood) manage to injure myself, way back-of-nowhere, I'd love to hear the sound of that tiny motor, pulling that trailer, coming to get me. Interesting tow-rating.

Nice beast! I would expect that someone riding one of these is quite aware of the traction available. It looks like a lot of thought went into the design, not just slapping a motor onto the front wheel. Those tires also look to have a lot of traction.
