Hi everyone,

I recently bought an older running gear and wondering if anyone can help identify the manufacturer. it has been painted a few times and haven't found any identification plates or markings with make and model.
im trying to find the running gear capacity and tires are 15" implement tires. The build is to stay on the property.
we are planning to build a 9x14 or 10x14 mobile chicken coop on top of the running gear
i've attached a few photos to help with gear identification.
any suggestions are welcomed to post in other forums that could be of assistance

thanks in advance

Gehl used to make running gear that looked a lot like that--at least from my memory of the 1960s and 70s. About the right color also. They quit making farm equipment about 20 years ago.

Keep us updated on your build. I am about to get a running gear to make a chicken coop. Tired of chickens being in the barn!

The pivot and tie rod look a lot like my Electric Wheel gears. Went out of business 60 years ago.

Looks like the gear under a gravity wagon that I recently sold.
I put about 125 bushels of corn in it for several years so a small truckload of chickens isn’t going to be a issue!

I can't help with the manufacturer, but, as someone who grew up working on dairy farms and using that type of running gear and who has done a lot of steel fabricating, including building big trailers, flatbeds, dump beds, etc., I can assure you that you won't exceed the capacity with a chicken coop.

Any good farmer knows if it bends your good to go.If it breaks toss a half dozen chickens out and repair it!

It was previously under a gravity wagon.
I am also calculating the approx weight of the 9 (or 10) x14 chicken coop build for backup information.
The one difference of the coop build will result in a perimeter load vs uniform load from a gravity wagon load of corn, etc but still calculating weight as mentioned above.
