I have a leak in my fuel line on my GC2310. It is just before it goes into what I understand to be the injector pump?
It seems a pretty simple fix to take off the hose snip an inch off and replace it. I am concerned about introducing air into the system. I have seen conflicting advice whether bleeding may be required. Any experiences with opening up the system at this point? I assume I should shut of the valve at the filter first, any other advice?

It went ahead and it went well with no issues.

Excellent. I had the same issue in the same spot. I did the same as you did.

I actually bought enough line to redo the whole tractor, but haven’t had any issues since, so the new line hangs on a nail in the garage.

I still got new lines for pickup pump to fuel tank sitting in shed. did a "temp" repair at pump end(under floor) few years ago and got the new lines planning on replacing them. well...if they split again I am all set :)

I did the same thing more than 5 or 6 years ago and it lasted for a couple of years before I had to replace it all the way back to the lift pump. No problems with it since, on my 2010 GC2610 at about 1000 hours.

The line was a lot thinner than I thought it would have been. Way thinner than the line I got from Napa.

"Way thinner than the line I got from Napa." Not surprising. It seems a lot of the OEM flexible lines on our 2300-series tractors are substantially thinner than replacements.

I'm in the same boat as not2old above -- sounds like exactly the same thing I had to do on my 2310. Tried the "cut off an inch" at first, and that held for a while. Later, I tried to splice in a 2" piece of 1/4" copper tubing (with hose clamps) -- that also held... for a while.

Finally bit the bullet, pulled up the floor, and replaced the whole line back to the small electric pump. No leaks since. (That also gave me a chance to clean out all the crap in there!)

Had the exact same problem on my 1715, was able to pull up enough to re-attach after cutting split out. Never saw fuel line with seam in it. What size line did you replace it with?

I haven’t actually replaced the line yet. I just got some in case I ever need it. I think it is 5/16”.
