Happy New Year!

What kind of hours do you have on your Kioti tractor and how do you characterize those hours? Was the tractor reliable, or did it have problems. I was eyeballing the "Why never buy Kioti" thread and would like to hear, good and bad, how your experience with a Kioti has been.

As a point of reference, my ex brother in law is a real farmer and has many tractors with thousands of hours on them - in his words "less than a thousand hours, heck that thing is barely broke in!". His tractors are mostly 2WD AG tractors of the John Deere and other larger brands.

I purchased a DK40se HST based on specifications compared to the larger tractor brands, and to a large extent, what I've read here and on other tractor forums. I'd like to see a collection of how many hours/what happened so all of us may be better prepared for any issues.

Be well,
Mike

Mike,
I purchased my dk4710se kioti tractor in late 2019.currently I have 700 hours on tractor. It has had 5 blown turbo failures with 3 complete replacements. The engine failed at 700 hours and needs to be replaced. My backhoe has never been off and used very little. I don’t mow with it or do any farming of any kind. I mostly use the grapple for clearing trees. Kioti is saying my air filter was clogged and that cause the engine to fail.
I have all the maintenance records plus 2 air filters that I saved from my regular maintenance. All the diesel mechanics that I’ve spoken to and read the warranty records said this is ridiculous and the engine should have been looked into after the second turbo failure at 116 hours. They say debris from the turbo failures is thrown back into the engine.First turbo failure was at 60 hours, second at 116 hours, third at 261, fourth at 350 plus, fifth and final failure at 730 hours with many regens in between the failures. Kioti will not fix the engine even though it is still under warranty. What a mess.Lawyers are involved with no results yet.It has been almost 2 years since the engine failed with no results from Kioti. I’m in contact with Daedong, the engine manufacturer as I speak.Maybe they will help. Anyway,I don’t want to bore you anymore.Would love to hear all of your comments. P. Jerry

I don't know about a fake post, but I do think your quoting doesn't make any sense, and it's confusing at best.

Sorry about my reply to you. I’m having problems with my IPad. I’m 74 years old and not computer smart. I was having problems with Kioti tractor warranty work and trying to reply to someone else. Sorry again. Jerry

It may, genuinely, be easier to post from a computer.

I certainly prefer it myself.

05, CK20 TLB, used commercially since new 1160 hrs, I have had no problems with this machine at all. It's used year round and works very hard, love it.
Update: I now have 3000 hours on this tractor and still going strong.

It looks will cared for with those hours! With 3000 hours, that's a good reminder to me that these machines can last a long time. I traded my previous tractor at 1300 hours, and have similar hours on the replacement. I find myself thinking about a new tractor, but I'm sure my current machine will outlast me.

Go back and read all of my posts about my 2014 NX4510HST if you want to read about tractor problems. Since the motor was replaced at around 760 hours the tractor has been great. I now have 1630 hours on it. My tractor is worked, not abused.

2017 NX4510HST rolling over into 1300 hours.
Annual oil changes, Hydro fluid at 400 hours, coolant flush last year, new fan belt last year. Rebuild left side FEL cylinder. (great experience for me!)
Have moved over two dozen truck loads (14yd) of material and limestone, grading around house and building up adjacent to barn for awning.
Not a pro, just a retired utility guy learning via trial and error and help from this community.
Have learned to be patient. Regardless of season, I let it warm up for five minutes and hydros respond better and allow two minutes to cool down and turbo to spool down for shut down.
Of course all this can apply to any color machine, but I'm a happy camper.
All the best to all...

JimR. Was this replacement honored under warranty or out of pocket? My Dk4710 with 730 hours and 3 years old was denied. Jerry.

The motor itself was denied. The labor and all other parts including the exhaust were all covered. They also gave me a set of extra filters. My fuel wreaked terribly like something had been dumped into it. It was sent out for testing and came back as contaminated. I should have dumped the whole tank and washed it out before bringing it in for repairs. Whatever was put in my fuel tank wiped out the cylinders. The pistons were slapping and my compression was on the low side for a diesel. I know for a fact that all the fuel that I put in my tractor was diesel. Just a few days prior my tractor was running perfectly fine. I'm pretty sure that I know the source of what happened but can't prove it. If it happens again shat is going to happen. The bill for the labor, the regen exhaust and other free parts was right up there with the cost of the new motor. I was really pissed off but there was nothing that I could do about it.
