My new blades...

They have 3 mows on them now, around 30 acres. They still have most of the paint left on them. Sigh. Probably going to order another set. Last set lasted 8 years.

Oh, and here's my new front chain guard...

Yeah, it's coming off.

Yup. That's why people over here stopped bothering with blades and went with chains like 40+ years ago. These days, unless they're strictly mowing pastures, they just stick to the chains.

I like the chain guard. Nice and tight between each section. IMO, it's about the only guard that actually works and lasts. I've seen some mowers with those sections so spaced apart that might as well just not have any guards.

Glad you got it fixed, thats a lot of work just to repair one little wire...

Been working on expanding my water storage for irrigation purposes. Right now, I have just a single 1000L IBC, so I've been building a platform that can hold 3 IBCs.

This structure is made out of pre-stressed concrete beams and concrete blocks, so the Branson has been very handy moving all of these materials to place.

Basically, use the bucket to move the mixed concrete into place, leave the bucket there and come grab the forks to move the beams and blocks. I don't even lock the quick attach most of the times, since I'm always swapping attachments.

While I don't like doing heavy lifting with a tractor, I did have to this time. Lifted a big bag with 1400 lbs of sand (I weighted it) to max height, which along with the weight of forks (about 300 lbs) was the max it could lift.

I was very happy to see that the 1700 lbs lifting capacity I calculated when designing the loader was pretty much spot on in "real world". I did built based on the aftermarket loaders we have here in Portugal. Regardless of the brand, they all cap out at the same capacity based on the weight and size of tractor.

Then, during the weekend, the long waited rain finally came. So it was time to mow all of the old vegetables that weren't producing anymore, then plow the soil and till a new vegetable plot.

This gave me another change to use and learn about the plow some more. Still a work in progress, but doing well.

Started the seasonal change out from summer mowing and yardwork to winter snow removal. For me, that entails pulling most of it out of the shed and rearranging it so the summer equipment is behind the snow equipment. Only took a few pictures of equipment dragged out of the shed.

Very handy to have a set of pallet forks to move everything around without having to hitch and unhitch from the 3 pt.

Installed a diverter valve on the remotes so I could get another set of remotes. Should be particularly useful when running the plow as I can adjust the hydraulic top link on the go. Before I had to use the mechanical top link.

A bit tricky with all the angle but got it done with two short pieces of tubing. Came out alright. Not an huge fan of the long/short quick disconnect setup but it is was it is.

The switch got mounted on the remote lever and it's almost like a trigger. Makes it nice to use.

I will also leave this picture here as I kinda got burned for not checking the fittings before. That M18x1.5 fitting, I was dead sure it was either 3/8" BSPP or 1/2" BSPP. Nope.

This should apply to the European F and 25 series, as well as to the US 15 and 20 series.

Never enough remotes, my 8050 has three sets and I still have diverter on my back blade.

Moved a bit of sand with my 8050 today, a nice easy job after her having to max out the loader frequently the last several days. Nothing like having to unload bin/mafia blocks off the trailer 3600 pounds each.
3 plus a half block on each load, around 12,800 pounds.

I'm in the process of rebuilding my winter sand bunker. Last week I moved all the sand over to the right side so I could remove the left wall and redo it to square the whole thing up in preperation of a coverall going on it.

Starting to move the sand back to the left side

all the sand moved back over to the left side, had to finish the job with the little Kioti (narrower bucket)

The 8050 has had to lift and shuttle the 8 blocks on the old left wall, unload and stack the 9 new blocks, then move and set the 10 for the new left wall

That's some serious heft. I'm considering setting up a large composting system here but will have to rent a compact telehandler to deal with the blocks!

It would likely be a better idea, I worry a bit about the front axle. It's all the hydraulics want. I move slow and smooth when she's loaded that way.
