Parts for Kutje A2300N2-ATC the same as Cummings A2300?

My tractor overheated and now after just 15 minutes mowing gets hot to where I need to turn it off. When you remove the radiator cap with the engine running the water bubbles a lot so I'm sure the head gasket is damaged but it's not showing oil in the water, and the dipstick doesn't show water in the oil.

After doing a few searches and reading many threads here, and then doing online searches to compare engines, It looks like Kutje used the A2300 for a lots of Branson (4720, 4815, 4220, etc) and other brands too, and I found Cummings and others also used the engine model A2300.

My 2018 Branson Tractor 4520C-NEO (Serial #CYRG00023) has the Kukje Engine Model A2300N2-ATC (Serial #TCBG00053) with 355 hours since new.

I searched TYM's website https://tym.world/en-us . I entered my tractor serial number and their results gave me these part numbers:

HRUO100400 GASKET,CYLINDER HEAD
HRA0600200 GASKET, EXHAUST MANIFOLD (2)
HRA0402400 GASKET,VALVE COVER
24341-000280 446 ALL O-RING S-28
HRA0404900 SEAL, INJECTOR (4)

HRA0500200 GASKET, INTAKE MANIFOLD
HRA0500200A3 GASKET(INTAKE MANIFOLD)
(Why 2 different? I got a quote from a supplier and they offered a 3rd number HRA0500200B3 )


HRA1200200 GASKET, WATER PUMP
HRA1200200A3 GASKET, WATERPUMP
(same thing with this, 2 different ones but the supplier offered HRA1200200B3 )



When I do online searches for a2300 gasket, I get many places to buy the Cummings a2300 gaskets sets. Are they the same thing? The Branson/TYM parts cost 3 times as much as these kits.

Well, Kukje used to make engines for Cummins, so there's a chance. Unfortunately, that's about where my knowledge ends.

This presumes you have done the basics. Usually it is a radiator screen problem.

You decided it was the gasket, but 2 of 3 'tests' don't indicate that.

Hopefully, someone with more skills will weigh-in.

BTW, I have a version of the same engine.

That's what the mobile mechanic determined because in order to start it, I have to pump the fuel pedal many many times while at the same time cracking the engine until it coughs and shakes then starts, all while still holding the starter on and pumping the fuel pedal. Se he says it's leaking and getting air in through the head gasket making it so hard to start.

@Asteral worked (may still work) for Big Tex in Caddo Mills. He's a wealth of knowledge on this stuff.

@ptsg is a bit further away (Portugal), but also has a great deal of knowledge, too.

@K5lwq is also nearby and has experience with Branson equipment.

Big Tex is where I bought the Branson. I spoke with Ryan yesterday and he told me about the TYM website to find part numbers, but I didn't ask him about troubleshooting the issue, only about getting the parts.

This is one of those things where one will only know for sure if one is willing to spend the money on getting the parts need for a Cummins engine, then test fit them on the Kukje engine.

Otherwise, I don't think anyone will 100% garante that it will or will not work.

I've eyeballed the water pumps before for a A1700, only looking at pictures. Looked very very similar but then again, I didn't actually tested it on the engine, since it was just pictures.

Thanks. I'm sure I'm not the first person to ask this and hopefully someone has already tested the Cummings parts on their Kutje. That's who I'm hoping reads and answers here to clear up the doubt.

I don't under stand how pumping the "gas" pedal is doing anything. It does not have an accelerator pump as a carbureted gas engine would have.
