How many of these are out in the wild? Any idea on overall numbers from Summit's side? I ask because they look to be fairly slow moving locally, so I am curious how many owners are out there and on this forum, especially since the traffic in this specific forum seems to move fairly slow? I was hoping to see a lot more videos, reviews, implement reviews, etc on various social media platforms, but there really isn't a whole lot out there aside from 2 or 3 channels - which is great, but more is certainly better.

I own mine either way, and I've decided to invest in your company, your vision, and your mission. So far it seems like a solid platform, but I do have a few questions.

1. What direction is the future of Summit headed - larger/smaller tractors? cabs? other tire options with mid mount mowers?
2. What is the plan with the App and is it working for anyone? If not, can you just direct the QR Code to this forum or your support email for registration - actually an initial email for registration would be an *excellent* start for the customer / CSR relationship development. It would be great to have a live person ask me how my delivery went, if anything was missing, or if I had any suggestions, as well as information about performing the initial 50hr services (because most 1st-time owners are clueless about it).
3. Why isn't there a discount on implement purchases with the sale of a new tractor like other manufacturers offer? I didn't buy anything extra with my TX25 - there was zero incentive and that is a missed opportunity. With my Kubota, I loaded up on a back blade, a box blade, and a mid mount mower, because they were $500 off at initial purchase.

You had a relationship with Good Works Tractors, but that seems to have gone away - which is a shame, because Courtney was putting out some good content. I was hoping to see him end up with a production unit and new content. There are only a small handful of other social media channels promoting and using your products - It would be great to see more. I nerd out on tractor content right before bed. Any plans in the works?

For anyone else who is hungry for content or on the fence for one of these, I've been engaging back and forth with Brad over at Piney Grove. Him and his wife are putting out some good content, and quite a bit features his TX25.
However, my usage and climate is a bit different than Brad's. I'm up in Michigan and deal with entirely different weather, including a lot of snow or frozen ground.

Well written @Catalyst
I have been wanting to buy one of these since I first saw it on the GWT YouTube channel. I work out of state and still planning to get one when I return. I too have wondered if there are plans to expand the lineup with other HP tractors or other branded equipment. I have looked at them every time I go to one of the farm stores carrying them. I think the quality is as good as any of the other brands. The standard specs are better than any other brand. Yep, I want one. I think the parent company has built more of this or similar models than we realize. I am convinced it will be a good fit on my small farm. I would love to see more YT content on these. Everything I have seen seems to show users being happy with the tractors.

I've had mine for a good year now with no problems. The app has never worked and I am somewhat disturbed with the website. Never updated, etc. That being said, I reckon if the company goes belly up the Solis parts ought to work. Regards and YMMV.

Yep, I noticed that too. Being a start up of any kind is a tough thing I suspect. With the additional features and the use of a well proven tractor, I remain hopeful for them to stay the course and make these better known. I am already in that boat with an orphan tractor. I bought a Cub Cadet/Yanmar when they went together and built those about 2009-11 time frame. I bought a new one. A couple years later, the dealer I bought from and local support was gone. Fortunately, the only parts I have needed could be sourced from Yanmar or a couple of online dealers. I haven't needed much so it really wasn't a big deal. I would think this would apply with the Summit tractors. I still like the looks of them, I like the standard features and the size for what I want to do.

I have to think things are somewhat ok - our local family farm and home just took delivery of a tx25 with a backhoe.

But watching. Stuff like this always has me worried. Heh.

Volume is traditionally your friend for longevity…

Add to that simplicity of design where the more complex the electronics also tends to affect longevity…

I originally wanted a Deere but could not get the time of day from dealers saying it was harvest time and expect a call back in 6 to 8 weeks.

Went to a Kubota New Holland Dealer looking at Kubota but sales was pushing New Holland…

Traveled and found my BX and very pleased with it…

Went back to the Kubota New Holland about a year later to buy a porthole digger and was told I could not buy the one in stock since I did not buy a tractor from them…. I never went back.

In the SF Bay Area it’s not easy to go tractor shopping and not being able to sit in the seat would be a problem for many a would be buyer.

I'm being optimistic here. I know it is s tough economic time for everyone, particularly businesses that don't sell a must have consumer product. I am hopeful for Summit. They offer a great value with the features and build quality of the tractor. We've all seen companies just going for the cheapest product they can sell without regard to the actual value to the user. I think Summit does fill a niche that was not being serviced by the bigger brands.

I think the overall package Summit offers really fits well for a lot of 5-15 acre property owners that cant justify 30-40k on a larger tractor all loaded out.

I agree.
I have 14 acres with most of it being rented out for crops. The waterways and edges of the field and my yard and and another property I take care of in town are what I need to service. I would like to have a Ventrac or something similar but cannot justify the cost of the tractor and then the cost of the specialized attachments that are used with it. The Summit is the right size for what I want to do. I manage to get through it now with a subcompact tractor but just looking for a bit more size and the use of the rear SCV. I just priced one, the tractor and a few attachments can be had for about $24K. That's doable and easy to justify in my mind.

Respectfully, I dislike posts like this.

Summit chose a great platform to build its brand on and the company cares about their product and its customers. I know this because I own a TX25.

If you dig into the TX25, you’ll see it’s a rebranded tractor made by one of the largest tractor manufacturers in the world.

The engine is also made by a proven multi-national business.

Therefore, if Summit goes under TX25 owners will receive parts the same way as they are today.

Admittedly, parts with Summit green paint might become hard to find rather quickly, but there will be parts for the TX25 for decades to come with or without Summit.

In the meantime, there are no TX25 horror stories here or elsewhere on the web. The platform is reliable and Summit continues to act in a customer-friendly manner.

In other words, for shoppers looking for an alternative to JD, et al, there’s no reason not to look at a TX25.

Shop around, compare the features and price of the TX25 and put your choice to work.

As for my situation, I’ve got 70+ wooded acres and remain fully satisfied with my TX25 and Summit’s customer service.

Sure, issues pop up, but as I’ve said in previous posts, Summit’s always eager to make things right.

As for the Summit app and website, I agree with the criticisms. E-commerce is my field and this stuff bothers me, especially knowing that it’s not only important, but Summit’s options and fixes are relatively easy and inexpensive (this includes killing the app).

Messicks has a pretty large platform of viewers and while Summit is a rebrand of a reliable platform, it isn't a huge US market. Had Good Works not reviewed his TX25 heavily, I probably wouldn't have considered buying one.

Mine has been going good so far.

I did manage to get it stuck in the mud (in 4wd) but switching to low gear crawled it right out.

I noticed that there is a rear bracket on the top link holder that gets in the way of a hydraulic top link that wasnt on some of the earlier tractors. I wonder why that was changed over.

You have around 260 hours on yours. I would love to read more about some of the issues you ran into with it and how Summit support helped to resolve them. Summit was also very responsive with my initial issues.

This sub forum seems to have little traffic, which is also why I was asking how many of these are out in the wild. (y)

See my previous posts. I’ve shared some details on most if not all of the issues in periodic updates. Nothing serious and Summit addressed all of my inquiries promptly.

Importantly, I don’t have to push Summit in any way. I relay the issue, they might ask for a photo or more info, they get me the parts.

Here are some example that come to mind:

Defect on seat cushion on delivery: replacement sent same day.

Faulty cruise control unit: part shipped, 10 minute part swap.

Missing/lost draw bar: replacement sent same day.

Footwell u joint guard plate (not the proper part name): known issue, I received instructions on “fixes” with one call.

Currently, I’m working with Summit on a couple of issues.

Yesterday, I sent a summary and photographs via email and requested a phone call from someone at Summit as soon as possible.

I got a call a few hours later and I have a direct phone number for the person I’m working with.

The steering unit hose fitting has developed a drip (steering-wheel-side). The hose fitting either needs to be tightened a turn or the hose replaced.

My fuel cap isn’t sealing reliably. Summit already ordered a replacement.

The wiring connector on the e-brake buzzer failed. The replacement has been ordered.

I’ll work on the steering unit today…I have apple trees to plant and a long list of other jobs in progress that require the TX25.

Our local Farm and Family Home had a Summit sitting in front for about a year. I don't know if it was always the same one but it's not there anymore. (Sold or sent back?) I thought it was a pretty good looking tractor but looking at Isleview's list of issues, that's a lot more than I've had on my John Deere and it's 15 years old with 1400 hours on it. It's encouraging that they are addressing the issues, but it sounds troubling for when it's off warranty.

The Summit is a rebranded Solis. You can hit up the Solis forum and get an idea of issues - they are pretty reliable for the most part. I wouldn't knowingly sell off a Kubota to replace it with a Summit if I had read otherwise. I know McClure Made Outdoors has a bunch of TX25 videos on Youtube. He sold his JD 2025 to buy the TX25.

Piney Grove is currently sponsored by Summit and has a bunch of videos featuring his TX25 and the various attachments.

Courtney at Good Works is no longer Sponsored by Summit and still has good things to say about the TX25 - which says a lot. He moves a variety of various tractors/brands in the sub-compact and compact market. He had a lot of good things to say about the Summit.

The list of issues isleview posted isn't too bad. I had a lot of initial issues with my Kubota BX they fixed over the years, but they were more substantial than gas caps and whatnot. The Summit comes with a nice warranty period and once you get the initial bugs worked out, these things are generally pretty reliable.

I made this thread, because like you - I also saw them sitting on the lots for a while. Once mine dropped to $2k off, it just made more sense to go this route and get rid of my BX. I think they are slower moving because who goes to Family Farm & Home, TSC, Rural King, or Home Depot to buy heavy equipment? I am sure that stings a bit, but I know it is true, because there are mocking comments in some of the social media posts saying such things. It is different and a lot of people are very brand loyal, which is currently coming back to bite some of those John Deere owners that can no longer even maintain personal equipment.

I think the sales model might have done better if these would have went to smaller tractor dealers, zero turn dealers, etc. However, I could also be wrong - they might be selling great at big box stores. I just know the store manager for FF&H that sold me mine did not know the machine anywhere near as well as the dealer who sold me my Kubota BX.

I was hoping @Summit Tractors Support might chime in.

It’s great that your JD has been dead nuts reliable, but the issues I’ve experienced are trivial in relative terms.

The point is, Summit’s backed up their product 100pc with no pushback, no arguments. Just excellent customer service.

My local Runnings store in Connecticut sells the TX25 and always has two or three on display. I have noticed their stock does change, sometimes they have a TX25 with the backhoe, often not. An employee told me they sell about one or two TX25 tractors a month.

Another YouTube source for TX25 content is Kelly's Country Life. They had the Solis H24 and now have the Solis H24+ which is nearly identical to the TX25. Also check out McClure Made Outdoors channel. Kelly's has a great video on the 50 hour H24 service and is so much better than the Summit video.

I suspect that when Summit was formed it was about the time that ITL/Solis decided to break in the USA market and both are headquartered in Georgia. Summit took the red Solis H24, painted it green, and upgraded the loader to Mechanical Self Leveling, a better seat with headrest, R14 RimGuard loaded tires, rear remotes, third function (front grapple), tool box, and side mirrors. Not long after Summit started selling the TX25 they changed the joystick and moved the loader hydraulic hose connections from under the right side step to the side of the loader.

In early 2025 Solis introduced the H24+ which has all the features of the TX25 except for the RimGuard loaded tires. The H24+ has a 60" bucket vs the 50" TX25 bucket, and the loader hydraulic hoses are under the right side step as they used to be on the TX25.

The Summit strategy seems to be to sell primarily through Home & Garden stores (Home Depot, Tractor Supply, Runnings, Atwoods, Farm & Home Supply, etc) whereas Solis will be selling through tractor dealers as another choice among that dealers lineup.

As for pricing I have found the H24+ typically sells for $1,000 to $2,500 less than the TX25. A few months ago I found a H24+ selling for $16K cash price.

Wow and I thought i got a geat deal on mine for 17,499.

I do think the MSL loader is a nice feature. Does that H24 still come standard with 3rd function and rear remotes? All the Summit standard features is really what won me over at the price.

Also - My TX25 is going strong and I just sold the BX80.

The H24 does NOT come with those features, but the H24+ model does. Your $17,499 price may have been a good deal depending upon what it would cost to have the H24+ rear tires loaded with RimGuard, shipping and sales tax.

They were supposed to have a larger unit out about a year ago as I recall. 36hp? They even talked about a cabbed unit. Those never came to fruition. Maybe because Solis never followed through?
