Power still out at the farm. Glad I stayed here, I would have driven right into that storm. Lots of wind damage.
One of my cameras at farm resending pics, after a swinging grape vine had used up last month’s allotted number.

Phil, recognize the control board and ash pan.
Need to get concrete mix. I remember dad always mixed his own, cement, gravel, sand, water.

Good Morning
67° and a bit grey, no rain forecast, and a high of 70.

Yesterday started with cutting some fence lumber for a neighbor, then moved on to emptying the manure bin.

I loaded the dump trailer and took it to a neighbors farm to add to their manure pile, although alpaca manure is apparently the gold standard for gardening, he wanted the first two loads dumped in their personal garden.

After that was done, I cleaned up my stone pile (I keep a supply of 2a 3/4” modified) as it was really wet when I last accessed it. It was dry enough now to push it all back up into a pile. A 25 ton load usually lasts a few years, but the pad for the shed put a dent in it. I hauled a bit more up there while I was at it.
A side benefit is that pushing and loading the stone did a nice job of cleaning the manure caked bucket.

Today will start with breakfast with the professor, then a couple of tasks at the restaurant, then whatever pops up.

Morning all, 67 going to 75 and partly sunny.
Got some of the wifes flowers planted and watered the garden. Found another tick, that's 3 for me , one for the wife. So as many as we usually get in a year already. Time to cut the grass I think.

Today we have to decide college and it looks like Fordham, will need to wait quite a few years to retire.

Drew - except for this weekend, the Audi taxi service available to you weekend mornings or during the week on evenings. Hope you get a good price for the RV, think you've worked out all the bugs and added enough upgrades to make it shine to a buyer.

This weekend Washingtons Crossing Brewfest (too bad I can't drink anymore, designated driver now) and then Sunday to my brothers on LI for my Dad's memorial.
Yesterday moved the tree in his memory to a larger pot, still need to find a bigger pot for it's next move.

Road side looks good, hard to believe only a few years ago the brush was right up to the tarmac. Did the cleaning slowly so the berm did not erode. Seems to have worked, also a lot of stone there to help is stay up.

Be well,

Good morning TBN!!
57 this morning with mid 80s as a high. Isolated T'storms late this afternoon.
Sure is a lot that happens here when gone for a few days.
Headed to the beach Wed for two nights for the wife's Bday. Got back late Sunday. Little longer then we planned but had a great time. Spent the 1st two nights across the street from Kitty Hawk Mem. Then meandered down the Outer Banks.
I found out the dog isn't real happy with elevators and ferries. Especially the two hour one. We were parked at the very rear over the props and engines. Went to the front and he was much better.
I also found out that he loves the beach. Not the surf but the sand. Lots of running and digging and a very good time was had. He certainly helped with my step count. Over 10k both days we were there.
Got home Sun and somewhat unpacked. We were beat.
Nothing at all on Mon. got only 1500 steps and that was mostly unpacking.
I have yet to do much this week. I will get into something today though, and turn my attention back to getting our bridge fixed. I needed the break!
Did get a little bit done yesterday. Blew the winter coating of leaves out of the Prickly Pair garden. I cover them every year and there looks to be a lot of blooms in the next couple of days. Played pick up sticks in the backyard.

Already had my second cup, so time to get moving
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Just have 16’ left to clear on the dry river bed after a marathon day yesterday..

Good morning, 73˚, S wind, cloudy. Big rain event now Friday.

Kyle I would only mow around the house and make trails to your pond and mow the fence line, a only what is necessary mow.

66°F and .24 inches rain, a tease but welcome

Fun day yesterday, just not very productive.
The little girl mastered the doggy door, a worthy accomplishment. Not sure she has linked the important reason to go out yet, but progress.

Makana has vet appointment this afternoon. Stitch removal from dew claws, 2nd shots, microchip.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day.

A little work this morning on what to do with the post that has settled and is out of plumb. So went back in the barn and found the ratchet jack the kind that used to be in the old cars to jack off the bumper.
Dug a hole below the beam it was resting on and positioned it to lift and push sideways. The gap closed up and it was pushed sideways enough to where the post is now plumb.

Enough for the day that and next is to make some spacers under the beam the post is resting on
