61 going to 87. Feels good outside now, but gonna get too hot later. Happy May Day!

Thomas, glad NuBoo is becoming a friend. We've had several bears pass through here this spring, including one that came up on the front porch and posed for the Eufy cam.

Finally finished the entire grape arbor project by using my tractor grapple spear rig again to lift vines and give me some room to wire a grid to the frame for support. Looks real good, according to my wife. Took Della to hike and swim for celebration.
dads grape arbor is mostly on the ground..

thanks Ken, think I'll replant/pot it and then give it to someone who wants an oak tree.
I have several oak trees in my yard that started as sprouting acorns I found on the ground. some of these oaks now a foot across in less than 20 yrs.

Now at the farm. Got yard mowed, oil changed in tractor, found bolt for loader bracket almost out, another one appears broken off, and 2 just a little loose. tightened the ones I could, the one that was almost out is stripped. good thing there are another 5 that are tight on the bracket. took blade off tractor, will put mower on tomorrow. storm was brewing, did get a little rain from it.
pipeline guys sure been busy, they already have most of trench dug across the farm, 3 more truckloads of pipe came today. see my life on the farm thread for pics of that.
the water line guys left a sxs parked behind our barn... right where we store the blade, so had to put it in another spot..

i had to unload the 600 lb of concrete before i left this morning.

Good evening all. 58ºF for the start, cloudy, very light breeze. Light wind, overcast cleared off late afternoon, and high temp was 74ºF. made coffee to start the day, made oatmeal for breakfast, worked on how to repair Fish finder, I think I can reflash it. I will try it tomorrow after rain. Went for a bike ride, town trip for lunch and groceries, nap shower and head to National Day of Prayer celebration where I hands out programs. Usually evening routine of of posting.
Kyle I believe your story, because I went through same thing. Wife wanted nav system on SUV, we talked with dealer, They wanted 24K + old SUV (less then 10K miles) for new SUV similar options. I was at 18K + SUV. 2 years later they gave me private retail for SUV, go figure. Good to hear you get a rest during end of semester.

North Bay trip was uneventful. Filled up at my usual spot...$51.oo. Lunch for the two of us was $55.oo + tip, 10 bux each.
Got home at 1 P.M. and by 5 P.M. the lights were flickering again. Called Hydro One and they couldn't find anything threatening the lines, so they did a test of the house at the meter and found nothing there either. We were drawing so little power (we only had two computers and two LED lights turned on, plus the security system) that we had to turn on the stove so they could actually do the test. The hydro guy confirmed that we got ours delivered underground. The only smart thing the original owner of this place did.
The overhead power wires on this little 1/4 mile dead end road are from the 1960s. They have never been upgraded.
So far since they left the lights have stayed on with no flickering. Supposed to rain tomorrow, so no tree felling.

Our minority goobermint just changed to a majority, the NDP are throwing in with the Liberals and their 7 seats gives the Liberals (168 + 7 = 175 seats) a majority goobermint. We will see what happens now.

woke up too early, but enjoying first cup of coffee
today is a high of 86, long sleeve shirts need to go to storage, out come the golf shirts.
nice visit with landlady yesterday, glad she is feeling better after chemo. She loves to come and see what new
flowers I have planted.

looks like I'm going to have this motorhome for another season so I need to plan some local trips. I use RV Life software,
going to plan a New England trip. Maybe I'll get lucky in the next few weeks but looks like the market has tanked.

Coffee is brewing. 54° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 63 with clearing skies in afternoon. Got .52 rain yesterday. Grocery shopping went good. Trip to Xfinity got me a $20 monthly savings on my account. Costco was OK. Got a $10 coupon for bring in a new member. Parking was a mess and place was packed. Rest of the day was conserve energy. Need to get chipper mounted on tractor today. May get started on chipping limb pile.

Maybe I'll get lucky in the next few weeks but looks like the market has tanked.
If the RV market has truly tanked, then the price of the trailer that you would like should be commensurately lower as well.
If that’s not the case, then you are just haven’t found the right buyer yet.

Good Morning TBN!!!
55 this morning with sun this morning with Tstorms expected again this afternoon. A familiar pattern.
Got some more seat time yesterday starting to move rubble to the tank.

Bridge1.jpg

That hole was much bigger then I thought it would be after I dropped the tank. I pushed the fill I had blocking the water from that side I and cut the hill a little and I can drive through it almost. Probably could if I dropped the ROPs.
More of the same today except for a trip to town later in the afternoon to go to my G. sons first house warming

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

good morning, 64 going to 81

Mowed the upper tree planting with the ZT. It had not been mowed for close to a year and already had sticky bushes and vines growing. The lower planting has formed a canopy that keeps it from being overgrown.
Did not take long for the ZT to clean it up. Had to stop to blow out clippings from the radiator

Not many flowers yet but some.

Made Salmon for dinner and peppers grilled until charcoal black and peeled and sliced

Need to move down a bunch of 18 inch 4x4's to jack up a beam in the welding shop. Decided to do it right even though it takes longer. Hey no schedule LD's or penalties.

after my Sterilite hamper handle broke off, it was pretty cheesy but all local place had, I'm trying
something different. Laundry hamper bags not plastic hamper and I can drag it down to basement with
one hand with the other on the railing as safe. Much better than two handed hamper on first try.
has wire framing inside, seems to stand up ok, little more stylish than the plastic thing.

now I wonder how to recycle that plastic piece. I know it can go out with trash, but if I cut the edge off
it would make a great strainer for a giant bilge pump, or a critter box, or, or???

Good Morning,
Vt, 50 to start going to 70. Very overcast this morning, and we had some heavy downpours last night from 11 pm thru about 2 am. Looking ahead the sun may show up by around noon or so.

Did get a lot done around the house yesterday, and if the weather holds will get more done today.

Drew, sorry to hear your issues with the motorhome. Somehow it will work out. 🙏

Hope all have a Good Friday 🙏
