For years I have used NOAA. Yet it seems like they read what other sites say, then change their forecast. I get tired of reading one thing, then talking to somebody who tells me an altogether different forecast which turns out to be right.
Pretty sure everyone gets their base data from NWS, which is part of NOAA.For years I have used NOAA. Yet it seems like they read what other sites say, then change their forecast. I get tired of reading one thing, then talking to somebody who tells me an altogether different forecast which turns out to be right.
Thank you. I had tried them via my search engine but because I have my location blocked, it would only give me weather for New York. Using your link I see that we are going to get snow tomorrow. Guess I'll go make sure that I have everything under cover.Guthrie, OK Weather Conditions | Weather Underground

That's the program I use on my phone. The local reporting station I chose is 1.2 miles away and on the west edge of town. It closely matches my Davis Vantage Vue monitor. It seems to me that Weather Underground is one of the less inaccurate ones,
you can localize it in the drop down tab (light blue) under there name and actually pick local reporting stations for you local for the current conditions,

Same for me. The NWS does offer the short daily forcasts, but if you sift through all the open doors on their site, you will find a wealth of information. I particularly like to use the "Forecast Discussion" link at the bottom of the local forecast to read in detail what's really coming up and also how much confidence the forecaster has in the data/models being viewed.NOAA/NWS. They have the technology that other weather services access and use. When I used to do wildfire management, we would always get a NWS weather forecaster to come to fire camp and set up their equipment. I’ve worked with these people and know that they run their models and use real time atmospheric data to make their forecasts. Of course they sometimes miss the mark, but what other sources don’t.
