Good morning!!!!

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 17.6C and it's presently 27.1C, fairly clear with a gentle breeze. Rain predicted late tonight and into tomorrow.

Yesterday's temperature topped 30.4C so it was an 'inside day'. I did give myself a beard trim & #2 haircut, though.

Nothing planed for today, which is just fine.

That's about it, take care all.

31° now

Thomas, looks like you’re in the “jackpot area” we’re only slated for a paltry 8” this weekend. Today’s slop was a reminder of the past couple of winters where every storm either started or ended with rain.

Enjoy your evening

That little dusting we got amounted to 7". Plowing all done and fueled up. All ready for the snow coming in on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Chow time.
Got hit big time down here. 11” at Pearson Airport, and maybe another 10” coming over the weekend.

Daughter is scheduled to fly out to Houston to go on a seven day cruise Sunday morning. Worried that her flight will be canceled due to the snow and of course you can’t arrive late, because the boat will be gone! 😬

Good Evening!

Little late to the GM thread. Lots of stuff going on and trying to keep my head above water. Check in here as time allows. Sure been a dreary day with temps in the mid 30°'s slight wind and cloudy. tried to catch up on email and some one pagers needed for tomorrow. Kept getting interrupted. Some for good reason. Some not.
Started off with one appointment for tomorrow now have 6. All in one building though. It will be fun.

One of the things I have found to be very consistent in getting things done is when several people who somewhat think alike but also respect different abilities and viewpoints get together and just discuss a particular problem or issue a good solution usually surfaces. Plan to do some of that tomorrow.

Thomas sorry to read that your legs were giving out. I run into that too when I'm walking on hard floors alot. Hope it gets better.

Wagtail, enjoy that nice weather you are getting downunder.

Check, I hope your daughter makes it to the Boat in time.

Hope everyone has a nice evening and you wake up early, ready to jump out and get the day going!

Prayers for our Nation!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 14° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 22° with cloudy skies and a few snow flurries. Got walkways and drive clear fo Wednesday snowfall. Also did neighbors snow cleanup. Sun did a good job of melting what snow was left after plowing. New drawbar showed up a couple days early. Paint job on it looks very good. Need to install a couple of screws and pins. Going to be on the chilly side today. Need some conserve energy time getting ready for Saturday and Sundays snowfall.
Have a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

25 going to 42. Still some snow...got very slushy yesterday...lots of thinly flooded areas from melt and now frozen when I went outside a few minutes ago.

Don... "The Poolbot Kidnap Caper."

Phil, beautiful work. Didn't you make your wife a Valentine's piece a while back? I made my wife a Valentine's Day card...made of paper, so does that count as woodwork? 😁

Had more plumbing work done over the last two days...replacing the old cast iron waste pipes with pvc under the older section of the house after one developed a crack. What a job and a mess, especially due to the weather.

They were going to install a cleanout outside near the septic tank cover, but ground is so saturated from 2 inches of rain/snowmelt on top of the previously frozen ground that the hole just filled with water seeping in. I had that problem years ago when I was digging post holes for fence posts in the late wet winter in what was to become our horse pasture. They'll come back later, but we are forecasted to get quite a bit more rain and snow, so no time soon.

good morning all
31 going to 36 today in clouds and snow flurries
17 in Texas, brrrr.

no plans for today
looks like they can't make up their mind about next week's snow, now looks like 8 inches here on thursday.
lot of rain tonight will be a lot of snow North of here.

timing for next snow not good for me, have appt to get volvo into detail shop on Thursday but my old friends won't drive
in the snow. So will likely have to postpone, which is not good, since sister is showing up end of month and this place is booked a month
in advance.

some things you can control and some you can't.

   / Good morning!!!! #203,274
15F partly cloudy sky low 20's for high, gusty 30-40mph winds today.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...AM 4 hours at part store, stop for critter food and fuel for pickup also generator. PM seat time with Kubota pushing snow back before darkness arrives.
That should enough for today.

Enjoy your day all.

   / Good morning!!!! #203,275
there is a well known story in the Old Testament of the Bible
about Jonah and the Whale.
I don't know how long ago this was but this was pretty remarkable,
and thankful a father saw his son reappear.
sounds like son and boat didn't get too far until whale decided it was undesirable

little boats in deep water sound sketchy to me...
particularly if in known whaling grounds
you could easily become bait

30 outside right now, heading into the 40's.

The great melt happened yesterday. Wow. Talk about being water logged. More of the same today. Don't step on any mole trails, volcano mud comes out.

Hope all have a great start to the weekend. Be safe.

Good morning TBN!!
25 this morning and won't get out of the 40s, but should have sunny sky.
Took the dog out for a walk first thing but it was short as I couldn't traverse the river on foot. Had to for go the trip for diesel because not only could I not walk across the river I couldn't take the truck either. I waited a couple of hours and fired up the tractor to cross. Kinda surprised when I crossed and the front wheels disappeared. More depth then expected. but I got across to pick up the mail.
As long as I was on it I put in a little seat time clearing and creating a couple of ditches.
May try to get diesel today as I'm sure the river came down quite a bit.
Wife may want to go to nursery today but it may be a little cold for that.
Got my solar power for my Blink cameras (for the 2nd time) still doesn't work. They left out the adaptor for Micro USB to USB C this time. Also got some bulbs for my can that didn't work. Too big (my fault) so I will pack and return.
No real plans for the day yet to spend with my sweetheart.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe Valentines Day!!

Took the dog out for a walk first thing but it was short as I couldn't traverse the river on foot.
I also tried to take Della for a hike back in the woods yesterday, and had to turn around at the creek since it was up higher on the bridge than my boot tops.

I also tried to take Della for a hike back in the woods yesterday, and had to turn around at the creek since it was up higher on the bridge than my boot tops.
I try and take Takoda back in the woods trail but when the river is too high I gets really muddy back there. On our morning walks we got to the camp next door that is no traffic usually but the river cuts me off.
