Finished up the day baling. I took this picture of the warm sun coming into the cab while baling.
God is great

Below, is a tiny settelers house from 300 years ago. The property is stunning. Neat little Lilly pad pond, too. Nice to be able to bale these wealthy land owner’s properties.

Intended or not, you have become an integral part of the restoration and preservation effort of the area and have created a lifelong business. You can turn what is into what used to be with the stroke of a pen kind of thing.

Landowners can see and experience what the same landowner saw and experienced generations ago and feel the same satisfaction now that was then. Very desirable to landowners and homeowners. As a sideline, you get hay.

I was involved with similar efforts of excavation, grading with seeding and after the initial shock when the project begins, people were thrilled to have land returned to what was. They looked out the window and saw what their ancestors saw.

I had time to go to Church this morning. Then it was back to work.

First I stacked bales.
Then I cut a 25 acre field. Finished up about 6:30.

Fellas, I’m running out of energy. Wife getting impatient I’m never home. Puts stress on us.
I only have about 50 acres to cut, but still have about 120 acres to rake & bale. It won’t get any easier until everything is stacked. Then maybe I Can take Sunday’s off.
Rain coming for most of the week. Yikes.

When my brother was logging full time he always fueled equipment up every night before going home. He felt it was better preventing condensation by having a full tank overnight.

Maybe the wife needs to run a tractor once in a while. Jon

Say what?
My wife has a full time job and goes way beyond the call making food & cleaning.
We’d be nothing without her.

So make the time for her and the family unit as mankind was intended to be. It's in the book; you can look it up.

Hang in there Hay Dude; sometimes it can seem rough but you'll get it done and then get to spend time with the wife, kids, and church with God!

Yeah, I haven’t missed church yet, but thanks for the thought.
May 15-July 15 and August 15-October 15 are the times of the year when I have little to no time.

Well aware of the scriptures, but hay waits for no one.
You can look that up, too.

Yikes.
Yesterday a property owner called me while I was finishing my last 5 bales. I have a truckers headset I wear so I can take calls and still work. While I was talking, #6 knotter took a dump and I made 5 bales with only 5 of 6 tied strings. 🤬
Otherwise it was a very good day. LOL
I must have been little tired when I installed them. I usually check routing when cutting tails. Baler never misses so got into the rhythm and ignored checking twine as they go up accumulator. 3 bales were in accumulator, 5 in the chute, and 3 in the baler by time got the twine cycled. About half hour of down time getting that all sorted out by myself.
