Korean tractor dilemma

Called dealer. 2 weeks and they havnt even looked at it. I bought the unit out of state, this dealer was the only one i could find to work on it. The other wouldnt touch it, there work shop is an old barn you can look through.

For giggles i called the largest ls dealer in the US and gave them the part # for the hst pump. Couldnt get me a price or availability. Said if the warehouse had it in stock it would take a month to get and if it had to come from korea would take 2 months.

I can see this turning into a s*** show quick
I believe I pointed the parts supply issue out as a weakness of all the non-power 4 brands.

BTW, if you need older Kubota parts, it's the same story. Had a brass fuel return fitting, banjo bolt, and something else, that had 90 day lead time, and after 85 days, they canceled the order... Luckily, I was able to come up with a combination of essentially "off the shelf" parts to make it work.

I wonder what the rear attachment points on your tractor actually looks like? Or do they just put the 2 hole balls in the lower arms?
Our tractors are basically the same weight, and 3pth lift but mine is only cat 1, so I wonder if a cat 1/2 3pth tractor rear end has wider lower arm attachment points, or a higher top link attachment point? I guess no one cares as long as it doesn't break off the tractor.
My tractor is cat 1 3pth, but I'm using an old 1000+lb box blade which had wallowed out cat2 clevis lower arm attachments which initially I just made some bushings to use my Cat 1 pins without much slop, and later welded the bushings into the clevis's, and it seems to work great behind my tractor.

I assume all heavy duty 3pth attachments use clevis's anyways? Cat 1 lower pins are a bit of a weak spot I find, or maybe I need a bigger cheater bar when I tighten them... They seem to come loose or bend on my light duty stuff...
I haven’t compared them but I assume that the arms have a wider spread. The pins are 1 1/8” instead of 3/4”.

You can hear all about the JD tractors of years ago how
good and reliable they are guess who made them YANMAR
I do believe that YANMAR is the only tractor with the 10 year warranty. They also have some nice discounts going
on now.

Not familiar with the smaller LS, but the 3 series LS is the equivalent of my 4820 TYM. Those LS models do lift about a foot less.
I looked real hard at the 3 series before my purchase. Dealer was close and knows tractors. For the money, it was a lot of tractor, but like you said lift height is short. Also, I was just worried to much about parts availability and will he be there in 5 years. Might not be an issue but gave me pause.

He also had an MT468 that I really liked. If I had bought a Korean tractor it would have been one of the above.

Never really messed with a LS machine, the dealer got bought out and shut down locally; But from a quick walk around, they seemed well built, on par with Kioti/Kubota/Massey. I know TYM has a lot of fans, and frankly, for the 35-60 hp compacts, they probably are the most machine for the money; but they didn't seem as refined as the others, to me. That's just visual/comfort, and 100% subjective. Even with that, they have more comforts then a 15 year old Kubota of similar size.

I know everyone preaches that they want simplicity, but the truth is, a good seat, ergonomic loader joystick, cup holder, entry steps, ect; are nice to have.

Banjo bolts are normally metric thread. So if you have access to a drill press, you can make one yourself.

I've done this a couple of times with older deutz engines where someone robbed one off the engine, and it would take 3 months to get one shipped from Germany.

Perfectly happy with my LS MT3, which I guess in everyone’s opinion is a POS with low lift height.

The weld quality on the tym was down right pitifull. Cold lap, under cut, craters, spatter, wire stubs. Thing was just down right terrible.

I will agree on that part. Some of the welds were not pretty. That is one reason I bought the Branson. The fit and finish was a bit better.

I prefer buying S Korean over Japanese. The S Koreans never bombed Pearl Harbor. The S Korean industrial machine is blossoming, while the Japanese industrial machine is dying. The Japanese workforce is aging, and the new generation of workers is inferior in every metric.
