How much do you care about pre emissions

Burning extra fuel for 15 minutes every 60+ hours.
1. That’s only if you do parked regen, but most regen happens while you’re already operating at higher RPMs.

2. Even worst-case, if you only ever do parked regents, that’s not much fuel. Total run time is 0.25 hours / 60 hours = 1/240 = 0.4%, and burning less fuel per minute under zero load.

It’s not nothing, but it’s awful darn close to it.

True. And my last regeneration occurred while I was rotary cutting, so no additional fuel.

Yep, and it you read that entire discussion, he figured out the situation and it was the operator’s misunderstanding.
OH. Wiggle the steering wheel, put your right foot in, right foot out and spin clockwise three turns, blow you nose ( right nostril only), take two deep breaths and VOILA (wallah in Lancaster County) and it's off to the races 😁😁

Whatever. I’ve never done any of those things. I just keep working while the regeneration occurs and in 15 minutes it’s done.

Well, I still wish Mo would have a survey kinda function; but I think I have a rough feel;
about 1/3rd really would pay more, accept less machine for same, or buy a well used machine at near new money to avoid

about 1/3rd absolutely would not, and may or may not necessarily care about emissions, but they aren't going to actively avoid; and they may either actively want the emissions stuff, or atleast want the new machine, and the other features, along with emissions

and about 1/3rd are in the don't care category. If there were to brand new tractors, and one had emissions and one didn't, they would probably take the one without; but they aren't willing to pay additional for used; aren't willing to sacrifice power/features to avoid

I've been noticing that all or nearly all of those "wouldn't dare" category have never actually owned a tier 4 machine. Looks like fear of the unknown, more than anything else.

Most who have actually owned Tier 4 machines seem to be in the "doesn't matter" or even preferred groups.

Interesting that you feel you know what everyone has owned , and their reasoning for their opinion

Only when they tell us in their post, but many or most who've posted their opinion on this thread have stated as such. There also have not been many, "I own a tier 4 machine, but never again" posts, among the 12 pages of this thread (so far).

I will  never be in favor of mandates that come from beaurocrates I can't vote in/out. Never.

Would probably trade up if I could get a pre-emission tractor. Keeping what I got now.

Our L4060 says that it's using 0.7 gallons/hour now that's the computer telling us that but according the the number of hours put on tank fulls it seems about right. It regens about every 35-40 hours. It's sitting at 99% full of particulate matter right now as the operator got tired of piddling around trying to get it to go to 100% LOL. 0.7 gallons/hour is not bad for as hard as it's pushed. I think it has just over 500 hours on it.
