my Dewalt 20 and 60 volt chainsaws start just fine...

I got rid of all my Stihl saws and string trimmer and went to battery power. Just had two large cedar trees go down in a windstorm. I cant imagine going back to the loud sounds and smell of a gas saw again.

One of the perks of not having to do it for a daily living

Until the batteries need charged but you conveniently forgot to include that....

I bought the Milwaukee cordless chainsaw. It was an absolute terrible purchase! I mean if you're trimming a limb off of the rose bush, sure it'll get the job done. But for real wood cutting, it has no spot with the rest of the saws. It stays at home.... I also made the mistake of buying an Ego leaf blower. That was the final straw, I have learned my lesson, go gas or stay TF home...

I have a mix. Echo 490 and 620p for the big trees.
M18 blower, trimmer and pole saw for convenience.
Walk behind and handheld gas blower for bigger stuff.
Gas Stihl brushcutter and Echo hedge trimmer.

These are just tools, get the right one for the job and this setup works for me. 3 batteries for the trimmer/pole saw works for my needs of about 2-3 hours of work.
Doing branch trimming, no pull starts is an arm saver. But with 20-30 inch trees to cut up, the 620p makes short work of them.

nope... made enough money selling my gas chainsaws so I bought a couple extra batteries.

Have gas saws from 25cc - 77cc left, still to many over a dozen after selling off. All those big boys around 92cc 95cc 118cc 122cc bye bye.

Battery saw, battery pole saw, battery sawzall with 9" pruner blade.
Guessing close to 8 batts so no issues there, the dang new lithium batts seem to last forever only had 2 go bad after several years of use.

Manual pole pruner and pole saw.

Heck a corded saw. Inside barn.

I'm sure I am forgetting some stuff. Heck a chain on a rope.

IMHO everything has it's time and place. To put others down for their choices is just idiotic to me.

I have also gone pretty much with battery powered tools, 2 chainsaws, 2 weed eaters, a battery leaf blower a riding lawn mower. Also a lot of battery hand tools. Really like most of them lots of power and the batteries last about s long as I want to work and I have a lot of extra batteries. I still have a Husky 395 xp for the big stuff but rarely need to get it out. At 81 years old I just can't pull the cords the way I used to bad shoulders also so battery is good for me.

The one thing I do like about the Li-Ion battery packs is, unlike conventional batteries that peter out as they get discharged, the Li-Ion packs deliver max power until the end and then just die until recharged.

Of course the only battery powered tool I have is my pole trimmer far as outdoor cutting tools are concerned. Everything else is gas powered. Well, canned gas, no corn fuel here.
