My only big complaint is that I don’t know why some folks refuse to accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Life here on Earth is not perfect like it will be in the hereafter. I can’t understand why everyone would not want that.

Don’t they realize how fleeting our time here is ? Tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone, but forever can be. Why gamble with that ?

That said, what some of you think of as problems, might actually be things that The Good Lord has given you, for your own good. The purpose of that pain and suffering could very well be to move you closer to Him.

My favorite old tractor is laid up right now with mechanical/electrical issues. That bothered me for a while, but now I accept that it helps make me appreciate those that are not broken down, just a little bit more.

What some folks think might be a really big deal, really isn’t, in the grand scheme of things.

For me, it’s hard to believe in Jesus Christ at times when our two-year-old grandson has to be air ambulance down to the cities for problems with a growth on his throat that’s closing his throat and then when he finally gets better, his dad, our son finds out he has cancer and goes through two years of treatment on that and then finds out his wife, our daughter-in-law has cancer.

I know everyone says there’s a reason for it and God gives you what you can handle, but I question it

There’s no easy answer for that stuff. I’ve been thru some pretty serious physical and mental trauma myself, one time getting hit head on by a pickup truck going about 50 mph while I was on a snowmobile and 25 years later surviving a brain tumor that was larger than a softball. I can’t wait to see what happens when I turn 75.

I can assure you that both of those “big deals” brought me closer to Jesus and I am thankful for them now. It is more important to remember that we are all just here for a little while.

I can't understand how God has time to throw us little challenges like broken-down tractors but can't seem to resolve poverty, famine, war, child-abuse, sickness . . . .

If "Politics" is a taboo subject on this site because it's so divisive and idealogical, how can "Religion" be appropriate. And if it is, will EVERY religion be deemed appropriate? Nothing is less tolerant for other points-of-view than "religion".

Many people say they accept the Lord but their deeds show otherwise.
The Pharisees thought by just following the 614 laws of Moses (or claiming to) they were not sinners but they had no love in their heart.

Read how bad St. Paul had it. Easy to believe and profess your love for the Lord when everything is going right.

Ok, God let/made his perfect son be crucified and then we are surprised when bad things happen to other people?
