"M" SERIES tractors are under a mandatory campaign by Kubota to replace the step and add a brace to prevent the step from breaking. If you have a "M" SERIES TRACTOR and this has not been done .... you are in danger from step breaking as you mount or dismount.

Wholly CARP! Bought my M6040 - brand new in 2009. Later that summer a Kubota service tech came out and replaced the step and step brace. This is a fifteen year old mod - covered by warranty.

My dealer provided me with the step brace for my M9 open station which I added. Took about 5 minutes total.
