Good morning! Low of 63°, heading towards 87°. Sunny with 20% chances of a T-storm. Didn't get any rain yesterday.

Ran the drip system on an abbreviated schedule. Then just piddling around, found some more damaged branches. Got them cut but only placed in a pile outside the gate. Need to get the tractor and move it back to the burn pile.

Why do the neighbors animals all want to come here? ..... first, 3 cats decided to have a fight outside the bedroom window at 06:30.

Then I get a call from the back neighbor saying our horses are loose ---- but we don't have any horses!
Sure enough, a horse and a donkey in our back field! I called the appropriate neighbor to come retrieve them.

Third, another neighbor's dog came over for a visit, but just passing through.....

Then, the strangest by far..... we were sitting on the porch, when suddenly, the wife says "WHAT'S THAT?" ---- there is a ferret running down our driveway, checking out each planter. By the time I got out to the end of the drive, it was gone....
I have no clue for this one......

I wonder what will show up today? I hope a nice Black Angus. I know what to do with that type of stray....:censored:🥲

More piddling in the cards for today. I thought I had PT, but is scheduled for Wed. this week.
Four weeks so far without any real improvement. This is the last regular session, then next week is an evaluation by the main head therapist to basically confirm what I already know.

I hope everyone has a great start to the week!

The call with the diabetic clinic went good. I gave her the numbers from my twice daily blood checks. 30 day=7.5, 14 day=7.3 and 7 day=7.3. She was tickled pink with those numbers.
A1C when I went into the hospital was 11, but I think that was caused in part by my consumption of at least 12 oatmeal raisin cookies/day. Now I have none.

I got an estimate for upgrading the house electric. Cleaning up the spider nest looking wires hanging at the pole and the house, new wire feed via trenching to the house, new SD 42 slot main panel/breakers and running a feed to the upstairs box. $3,900. I'm okay with that. Waiting on a call back, for proceeding.

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 7:15AM. Sunny. Hot. High 103F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Was gonna pick up a trailer tonight and get it loaded for a trip south tomorrow, but it's just gonna be too hot to work out in today. And I don't like the idea of driving with that heavy load in the heat, either, so I'll wait a day for cooler weather.
On my tractor issue. Thinking I need to put together a suitable YT video. Not really and video experience, but I know several you do YT videos. Any recommendations on editing? IMovie? Will be using my iphone, then edit on ipad. Thinking I’d like to get something informative for a varied audience, the dealer, dealer tech, LS corporate, and the fine folks at TBN.
When the auxiliary valves on the back of the M63 leaked so badly, I shot a time laps video showing the problem and posted it to Youtube. Did the editing in iMovie on a laptop without too much problem, but I did refer to the iMovie help pages when it came time to add titles and such. Based on the video evidence, ended up returning the Kubota valves and replacing them with a set from FitRite,

Nice ride up the Feather River Canyon and over the mountains to King's Beach on Lake Tahoe Friday. It was the first time in a very long while I've been up there, and there were four traffic stops for construction on Highway 70, ranging up to fifteen minutes of waiting. Got there before noon, temps stayed in the low 80s both days and was just perfect. Helped set up tables and chairs and a few sun screens for the wrenching session the next day. Slept in a tent in my friend's back yard, which is a beautiful pine forest. Woke up cold in the middle of the night and had to put on more clothes.

Had about two dozen folks show up, most to bench race and gawk, but did have to do a welding repair on one side stand, and straighten out a bent hand lever. Then got everything taken down and put away before dinner, so all I had to do the next morning was to fold up the tent. I had the use of a comfortable couch that night, as my host was worried I might not like being visited by the bear that was making regular rounds of the neighborhood.

Got an early start Sunday and got home before the temps got too bad, but still soaked through my t-shirt. Got a nap in and did some tire shopping, running into some supply chain issues. No real rush, though.

Before I the trip I wedged some neoprene pucks under the speakers in the motorcycle helmet and could sorta hear music through the earplugs, but that's not a good solution. Found a patch cord that'll let me go back to using in ear buds instead of the speakers, so will get that ordered today.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start....

66°F and .87 inches rain. Sun is peeking thru but forecast is passing showers. Dare I hope for some dryness?

A nice good bye dinner with our friend Pedro. Who knows what the future may bring.

Happy Hour this afternoon at recently refurbished and reopened county park.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

80F and mostly cloudy @ 13:15, calling for a high of 81F for the day.

LWS reports the rainfall in the last 24 hours totaled 0.07" ... thankfully we have a possibility for more tomorrow.

Got grapple claw moved up to the shop yesterday and set on 4 jack stands.

Woman went out and brought back Mexican for lunch/dinner.

Friend came over in his Tesla for some discussion about the mods on the grapple, Woman got to take Her first ride in an EV.

She was pretty impressed when he punched it ...

After he left we headed back to the garden. She started watering the cabbage and broccoli and I started pulling weeds out of the holes where the beans will get planted.

Neighbor lady came by walking her dogs, helped The Woman water. Most everything got thoroughly watered.

Have the first couple of tomatoes on the Sunny Boys.

I got all the holes for the beans weeded.

Agenda for today:

Woman reports Japanese Beetles have arrived (apparently early) and She has been on the warpath, picking them off plants. She dug out the traps so I need to move the Shepard's hook and get one set up out front plus a few more down here around the house.

Clean up the pulled weeds from the bean rows.

Apply inoculant to beans and get those planted.

Have Woman finish weeding the row of Sunny Boy tomatoes so I can pin down the soaker hose and get that area mulched.

Woman reports Menard's rebate check was in the mailbox when She came back from getting gas for the Cub ... so maybe a trip down there later.

Cut a bunch of bamboo stakes in half for the peppers and get the taller ones staked up.

Plus whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday ... (y)

Made a lunch run to chipotle, then TSC to get gear oil and proper shear bolt. They said 16 oz oil, it overflowed at less.
Just need to get shaft on and try it. It does need new blades, I don’t have wrench big enough other than adjustable, which I dislike using. To change blades from the top, I need large socket.
Watched YouTube video on removing the blades, ordered set of large impact sockets on Amazon.
