I don't know what those hurricane things are, or about your weird trees, but anything that improves the structure is a positive.

Turnip, the beams are held in place by J bolts that are 24" long, they go in the concrete, J down, threads up and the beams are bolted to them.
That way they are anchored onto the slab, it makes for a great anchoring system. I will put them in the next picture, when we pour.
The trees are palm trees with coconuts, we drink the coconut water now & then.

Turnup, see the J bolts sticking up (with nuts on them) they go 20" into the concrete, then the beams get bolted onto them.
The boards are like guides to hold them during the pour,
They are a royal pain to set up because if they are a little off you're skewed.

I'm not building this by myself, I'm doing some of the light work, hiring the crews and supervising the work.
Plus being the go-for, so they can keep working.
I'm to old for this, specially since I just had knee surgery yesterday.
Soon I will be back in the saddle.

You must be in Florida or some similar place? I was being facetious about not recognizing palm trees; lol, I just like to remind myself I live where the air hurts to breath to avoid such things.

Why the pump truck? Looks to me the trucks could get all the way to the slab.I would have saved the pump truck money if the mixers could get to the slab. 30 years ago I drove a cement mixer for a few years and about the only time we poured in a pump truck was for multiple storys. If the trucks could get to the pour they never had a pump truck. But I will say as a mixer driver having a pump truck is the easiest day at work ever.

There were to many piles of soil and rocks to move, and the ground on one side slopes to much.
That's why the pump was called
It took 16 trucks loads to pour that floor !

The floor is 6 to 7" thick. where the beams went its 30 inches deep for the J bolts
