I dont hate the Idea of the Maverick or Honda truck; but I do hate the real product. Let's make a unibody, front wheel drive, truck. For me, they don't have much function, but i do see what role they fill.
I dont haul stuff That often, but when I do, it's either heavy (trailer with pallet of quikcrete or shingles, another vehicle on a trailer, tractor), or its long (10 ft pipe, 12-16 ft lumber); so a 1500 class truck is fine; really a ranger/dakota/colorado/Taco would do the same thing just fine, except maybe not trailer as well; but the 'medium' sized trucks cost 90% of what a 1500 class does, dont gain really anything in fuel economy, and sacrifice some comfort. If they could get a Ranger package down to those maverick prices (it can be a dang low grade package) Ford would sell 5 million of them.
