Good Morning
49 with a high of 60 for today under mostly cloudy, but dry skies. That will change this evening with rain likely.

Yesterday, I finished the last tasks for the TSA, with the exception of a final online task that couldn’t be accomplished because their website didn’t work. Just another in a long parade of frustrations. Hopefully it will be running this morning, I am 5 minutes from having this in the rear view once the site works.

Got some bar chores done, loaded grain and bales of wood shavings into the barn. Now that I’m no longer mired in administrative tasks, I have take a few orders for speakers. Did a little RC flying, ordered some sheepskin sear covers for the new car (which I still don’t have), fixed a camera at the restaurant, played with Zoe and called it a day.

Today ill try the TSA site, then I’ll pick up some Baltic Birch, order some hardware and clean off the work bench and get started building some speakers. After lunch I’ve got to head out for a trip to Concord, NH, probably a stop at Mission BBQ for dinner afterwards.

The grass is ready to be mowed, but still too wet, I might try to squeeze some mowing in today if the ground is dry enough, but that’s an alternate activity at the moment.

With all your work on the water heater, I'd also recommend pulling the bottom heating element out and cleaning out the bottom of the water heater. In this area the hardness in the water will build up as scale in the bottom till it encapsulates the heater element which then burns out.

It's a nice brisk 40F here this morning, Fall is definitely in the air.
I do drain/flush the tank regularly - I should see what size socket I need for the elements, too, huh?

Good Morning Kilroy,
I am pretty sure that those anodes were not made to be replaced !:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I have never talked to anyone who had an easy time of that, usually the whole heater starts moving when you attempt to unloosen that ! Best of luck to you ! I just buy a new heater every 5 to 7 years !;)
I know that, when I do eventually need to replace the water heater, I will pull the anode and elements and lubricate the threads for future removal.

a $35 anode -even every other year - sounds better than $400 every 5-7 years IMO!!

52 going to 69...was clear with moonlight, now clouds have moved in.

Don, glad you got your operation rescheduled.

Kilroy, nice anvil...sounds like you've done your homework. Your water heater challenge sounds like the one I went through last year.

BEF, real pretty view of your dad's place. Hope he is getting along well.

Grandson (7 yrs old) got his first deer last evening. Using my .44 mag rifle, got himself a little button buck, at about 40 yards. Momma came out a few minutes later, to see what the ruckus was maybe. We let her check us out for awhile, until she winded us and ran back off. He made an almost perfect lung shot and he only went about 30 yards. We were able to teach him about blood trailing and field dressing. Proud Dad and young shooter:

I'm getting my second dose shingles vaccine this morning. First one hit me a little hard. Hope this one is better.

good morning; 56 going to 69 today no rain low was 48

Wife has her infusion today at the doctors clinic.

Watched a TV show about the making of the Gerstner tool chests. Amazing quality and they also restore old chests

Last time I had plumber out he said he would not recommend changing the anode because of the possibility of tank damage

The deer are out in full force cleaning up the chestnuts. Buppies will be proud of me not using plural

Cody chased the two Racoons hanging around up in a tree this morning

I have only had a couple of drug tests while working caught in random job site testing

Congratulations on the new grand daughter

Good morning! Low of 52°, heading to 83°, sunny.

Wng, beautiful pic! Proud Grandpa for sure!

Don, good that you got bumped up. Perfect timing before the holidays.

No work on the addition today, need to make a Costco run and pick up some things at HD. I'll be too wore out .....

Everyone have a great day!
