A few years back I saw a simple neat setup to pull t-post with a loader. let me try to describe it. This contractor was removing silt fence posts and on the side of his load bucket he had a simple D ring welded on. it was free to move in welded saddle and he would maneuver to get the tpost in the ring then lower the bucket, once a foot or so was in the D-ring he would ever so slightly move fwd or back and lift, the ridges on the t post would catch on the hoop of the D-ring and bind as he lifted. I witnessed this operator pluck t-post at an incredible pace. I was impressed and it was so simple I did not even think to snag a photo of the setup.

I clamp a couple of pieces of 2X6 across the tines of my grapple. Squeeze the post between the 2X6's and pull it out with the fell. Quick & easy without getting off the tractor and the 2X6's don't mangle the T-post.

Enough with this silly tractor attachment talk.

You should be able to get one of those little jack devices, that are made for that job, for under $40 from Northern tool or someplace like that. They are much faster and easier than using a tractor for that job.

It’s almost easier to lift a post with that little jack handle than it is to turn the steering wheel on a tractor with power steering. The big time saving comes from not needing to maneuver the tractor over the posts.

I put in a lot of snow fence with t-posts and a pile driver every fall and pull them every spring with one of those post jacks. Pulling them is always a cakewalk compared to putting them in.

Maybe. I own one. I think that it is great in soft soil.

In the dried clay soil, aka cement, that we have here nine months of the year, my tool either doesn't lift the T-post, or breaks (repaired it once, and quit using it).

I have T-posts that even with 1800lbs of lift force don't come out of the ground. After trying for half an hour on one, I left it. Perhaps the next owner will have more oomph in their tractor, or just dig it out with an excavator.

Perhaps she needs a new boyfriend. Teach her to do the tractor work and get your backside out there doing the physical labor. I thought you were from Dixie? Most fellas down here are a wee bit more chivalrous. 😀

She gets to do the tractor work. Every time the grass is high enough to bush hog !

I have a thumb and a ripper attachment on my BH. I can grip the top of the T-post between the ripper and thumb and lift it out.

Interesting part is I can drive the T-post into the ground the same way.
