Bill Kirchen, the lead guitarist from Commander Cody is a regular at the the sellersville as well.

A simple no tools test of the charge on your AC is to go out and feel the suction line (larger one) as it goes into the condenser. If it feels like a beer that just came out of the fridge, the charge is likely ok. If it’s warmer, or not sweating it needs attention. And if it’s ice covered, it’s seriously undercharged.
Thanks for the tip. A few years ago, I charged it by the superheat method IIRC, but I have slept since then. Isn't there a number that you can take the inside temp at the intake of the air handler, and subtract X from it and get the outside line temp? I remember taping my temp sensor to the outside return line.

These. GT-Lite 750-Watt Equivalent 8-Panel Daylight LED Light Bulb

They screw into a regular lamp holder socket, I used porceline, with pull cord switches. Don't need them all on at the same time, for sure. I think they're discontinued. Very bright. 15,000 lumens. Happy, so far.
Thank you so much. I see many of these "flower petal" style lights available, just not sure how well they work. I've always been a big fan of high output 8' fluorescent bulbs, that when they are both sides of you, keep shadows to a minimum in a well lit shop.

Monday will be 1 year since Toppop Randy passed away.
Miss him. Seems Longer ago. prayers for Ellen.

Good Morning Guys,
Well day not starting out to good ! Underside of mower was caked solid with wet grass ! Got that cleaned up and got on tractor to bush hog sides of DW ! I see neighbor putting up fence posts, which is not normally a problem, but 3 or 4 posts are on my property ! Not sure how to handle this ! Don’t want to make a big deal out of a few feet !

Always something! 😉
Good fences = good neighbors.
I would offer to share having the surveying company come out and stripe a line to follow. Ask him, "Since there hasn't ever been a fence here, I would be willing to share the costs of having it surveyed, so that it is put into the proper place." You can also tell him, if he (or you for that matter) ever sell, and it has to go through the rigors of a real estate transaction, it needs to follow the survey to avoid complications in the future.
Better to get it right, now. It is in both of your interests to get it right. Now if this is just some temporary electric fence, done with a few posts and a wire, I wouldn't worry about it. If it is a permanent fence, I'm surprised that he'd just go out there willy nilly and start sinking posts.

Work was good today. Lot of changes going on in the upper faculty levels. I left a 3D metal print running in the Renishaw AM400 going. It was going to take over 8 hours, which is not real long, some take 40 hours.

It's Friday, I might have a Yuengling long neck.

Son has decided to sign up for 8th grade football. He gets very anxious before the game. He doesn't want to make any mistakes that cost the team. That is his worry. I try to tell him, that the other kids will be worrying too. Just try your best and know that you tried your best.

Prayers for our team.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 9C and it's presently 17.8C, fairly clear and calm. That's going to change, temperature wise, for the next few days with overnight Lows in the 0C to -0C range.

Yesterday's delivery came shortly before Noon. The rest of the day t'was a lazy one. We'll see what I get up to today.

That's about it, take care all.

Good Afternoon Lou,
Sounds like a plan, dont want to make a big deal over a few feet !

BTW Lou,
Should be going past your neck of the woods tomorrow, while heading over to the horse races in Saratoga ! Hoping for a good day, couple of beers and maybe a winner in one of the quinellas ! ;)

All have a good evening !
Good Luck at the track.
And good luck with the neighbor.
You'd be Welcome to stop by if you would like.
I ran over to Saratoga (actually Wilton) this evening to pickup a carbide hole saw, to put holes in James Hardi soffits and siding.
I try to avoid Saratoga proper during the track season, I've very seldom been over to the track and have never bothered going to the Casino over there.

66F with light rain and thunder @ 22:00, that should be the low temp for the overnight.

Got started on the lawn mowing first thing ... whistle pig checking to see if the coast was clear to come out for a snack:

IMG_2908 copy.jpg

He decided to go up to the upper field which I was not cutting.

Got the front all mowed ... and it was a good thing I did ... ;) :

Woman ran out to do some grocery shopping while I was doing that.

She got back just as I was finishing around 16:00 and wanted to know if She should be throwing the bacon in the pan. Told Her "Absolutely!" ... (y)

Had a couple of BLT's for early dinner and then we headed back out for more work on watering and feeding the east and northeast planting beds.

Confirmed The Woman's planting bed deer intrusion report:

IMG_2911 copy.jpg

🤬

She got several of the rhododendrons done and then started weeding.

I picked up the watering and feeding and got the Stella D'Oro's and a bunch of hostas done.

A couple more bucketloads of screened compost hauled down and a bucketload of branches and sticks hauled up.

Somewhere during that time warm front came through and the humidity went way up.

Skies clouded up and it started spitting with rumbles of thunder.

Called it day and put the Cub over in the barn and brought the Kubota up to the house.

Neighbor came by walking her dogs as I was parking the Kubota but didn't stay because the rain was threatening. She did drop off some food stuffs however for the Woman dog sitting her pooches.

Particularly interested in the Hungarian Sausage she gave us ... think that will be dinner tomorrow ... along with the Yellow Crookneck she dropped off yesterday.

Came inside, fixed another BLT with the last of the bacon that was cooked.

About that time the Heavens opened up and we got a deluge that lasted probably 15 minutes before tapering off to light rain.

Another 10 minutes went by and it started again while I was having a piece of sheet cake.

Looks like we got 2.63" this evening all told ... at least so far ...

Hope everyone had a great Friday ... (y)

Isn't there a number that you can take the inside temp at the intake of the air handler, and subtract X from it and get the outside line temp? Superheat would be measured by taking the temperature of the suction line while measuring the pressure, and comparing the temperature to the boiling point of the refrigerant used on a PT chart. Or…use a modern manifold with a temperature clamp for the line, and read it out directly.

If the system doesn’t have a superheat chart, then you could calculate a target taking wet and dry bulb temps inside and out. If the system uses a TX valve rather than a fixed orfice for expansion, then you would charge it by sub cooling rather than superheat.

Lobster and blueberry pie.
Someone is living well (y)

I like lobster, but can't pull the animal apart.
Versus my late wife loved ripping apart crabs, any kind of sea critter.

one of my most favorite pics was her chowing down on a huge pile of crabs
in St. Michaels Maryland. We had our favorite spot, out on face dock facing the Crab Shack on the other side,
and I brought home blue crabs for her.
That was one happy lady.

freshly steamed Maine lobster is one of life's true treats.

Making me drool Drew, crab or especially lobster.

Flash Flood Warning issued for parts of Erie County up around Sandusky.

They got 6”+ from those earlier storms.
